Colorful Coffee Filter Heart wreaths.- Simple craft post

Who says Coffee filters are just for packing coffee grinds in...
This simple, colorful, and fun craft is great for all.

“Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.”— Albert Einstein

Materials needed:
-Coffee filters
-Round plastic lid (I actually used a plastic lid for the back of our wreath).
You can also use cardboard.
-Paper (this will be used for creating your hearts).
-Paint (we used watercolor paint).

Start off with gathering your coffee filters.
You'll want to tape off the bottom of each coffee filter. By doing this, it will actually give it some shape.
Next, apply paint on each coffee filter. I found that using watercolor paint made it easier to apply paint on each filter.

Next, take each filter and tape it to your round plastic/cardboard piece.
If you are wanting hearts on your wreath, you'll want to take some paper and create hearts.
Paint them, and also you can add some glitter.- This is optional.
If you're working with little hands, you may want to help them cut each heart out.

Taking a strip of paper, pull it through the back side of your wreath. Glue off the ends of the strip. (This is how you will hang your wreath).

Now  it's ready to be displayed.

Welcome new readers! I'm so happy to have you here.

Sweet little hearts.- A simple craft post.

We absolutely love art in our home.
Creating art, and displaying art.
This simple craft project is fun for all ages.

Materials needed:
-watercolor paints
-heart shape cut out (I actually used a cookie cutter to trace my hearts).
- sewing needle
-thread (I used two colors).

First, start off with your paper and watercolor. Create your art. I used a variety of colors.
Have fun with it.- You can make stripes, dots, and much more.
Once you are finished, allow some time for your art to completely dry.

Next, you'll want to grab your heart shape cut out, or a heart shaped cookie cutter.
Trace a few hearts over your watercolor art.
Once that is finished, you'll want to cut each heart out.

Next step, grab your thread.- I used pink, and purple.
Pull your thread through the needle and tie the end off in a knot.
Start off with poking the needle through the front of your first heart.
When poking it through the second heart, poke the needle through the back side.
Continue this pattern until you are done.
Once you make it to your final heart, cut the thread from the needle and tie off that end.
You want to make sure you have enough thread on both ends when finished.

Final step...
Find a place in your home where you would love to hang and admire your beautiful watercolor hearts.

Welcome new readers. I'm so thrilled to have you here.
And a big THANK YOU to all my readers, I've really enjoyed having you
all come on this blogging journey with me.

Think Positive. -Replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

Someone says you can't achieve your dreams.
-Oh yes you can! Let me let you in on a little can do anything and everything you put your mind to! There's no need to prove anything to anyone. - But always remember you matter, and so do your dreams. Go chase your dreams!

So you think you don't matter.
-You sure do matter! You are here on this earth for a reason. -Get out there, and shine!

You want to try something new, but you think it may be too challenging.
-Give it a try. Honestly you won't know if it's challenging unless you try. Hey, and remember a little challenge is good for us. - Take on that new challenge.

You're not pretty enough.
-To who? Remember this, you are beautiful. Inside, and out. Try this, take a few sticky notes, write something positive about yourself on each of those notes. - Place them on your mirror. Each day read one of them. Soon, you'll see just how much those things matter. You are absolutely lovely.

People always want to be better than others.
-Yeah, it sure does seem like it. But hey guess what... you only need to worry about YOU. These days social media is a place for people to one up someone. Don't mind all of that. Just live for YOU and those who matter to you. Maybe even take a break from social media, and phone calls for a few days. Or go as far as taking a break from technology. - Grab a book!  Give yourself this time to clear your thoughts.

People seem to take advantage these days.
-Absolutely! It's true. We can either remove ourselves from the situation or simply say NO. We have options.

Life can be so hard.
-It sure can. We all struggle.- whether it be with, fear, anxiety, pressure, etc. -Life can be hard. I've learned that struggles can actually help define us. - Make us stronger. Help you learn more about yourself. Sometimes we go through life struggles to bring us back to the beginning. - Start over, try it again. There's always that beautiful shining light at the very end of that tunnel. - You'll get there.

Friends come, and friends go.
-We've all learned this from when we were younger. Friends do come, and go. Some will stay for a  very long time. I like to leave people feeling positive, uplifted, and loved. Whether we stay friends for a very long time, or for a short time. - Honestly, we'll learn something from each other.

Here's to today! Today is a new day.- Make this day count. Remember you're here for a reason. Do something that brings joy to your life. Rejoice in happy moments.  -You're doing just fine.

Welcome new readers. I'm so happy to have you here.
And to all my readers, thank you for coming a long on my blogging journey.
I appreciate all of you.

May we always smile.

I'm finding more time to rejoice in simple moments.

So much has been going on lately.
This month my husband and I will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary.- We're both very happy, and amazed at how much things have changed over time. Our family has grown. -More laughter, hugs, kisses, and more time to make beautiful memories.

This month also marks one year of a close friends passing.- It actually is still very hard. I'm finding that if I think of all the happy memories, and her positive outlook on life, it makes things easier. I think about her often. - She was beautiful inside and out.

I've been staying busy.  We're currently going over our weather unit study. Our daughter seems to be enjoying her time learning about clouds, rainbows, wind, and all the other elements of weather.
Our little sweet pea has been coloring and exploring books, and play dough. Her two top teeth just recently broke through. - We celebrated with dancing, and a whole lot of tickles.

The weather has been shifting. - It's actually not too bad. We're still using heating blankets, and wearing scarves and mittens.  A few days back I actually chipped a lower tooth.- I wasn't expecting this to happen. So I've had to take some time out and visit my dentist. Everything has been taken care of. I'm relieved it wasn't so bad.

We're all ready to see what this year has in store for us.
One thing is for sure...
May we always remember to smile.
We'll rejoice, and celebrate these simple moments.
