Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment took place in November 2013. Cold weather, coffee brewing, and these delicious Jam cookies were in the oven baking. It was wonderful and we enjoyed them as we sipped our coffee and stayed warm indoors.  Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. I would love to hear what your peaceful moment has been during the week or a peaceful memory from the past. Leave your comment below or on Google+.

A little trip.

We recently took a little trip to the  Manitou Cliff Dwellings  museum. Our oldest had a field trip scheduled with some of the other students who also attend the online academy. My husband and I have visited the Cliff dwellings in the past, but this was the first visit for my oldest and her sister.  The weather was perfect out. A cool breeze and the sun peeked out from behind a few clouds. The children watched a 16-minute video on the Anasazi people. After they painted some clay bowls and we all took a tour. The tour was about two hours and the kids absolutely loved it. What a lovely adventure for all.

Peaceful moment

July 2014. Cool day, a park visit, and some time to catch up on reading. We were patiently waiting for our second daughter to arrive.  I highly recommend this book if you are thinking about having a doula.  September 2014. I was now holding my new baby girl. We were all so excited to finally meet her. There's just so much LOVE to share.  Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. Two.

Two. We celebrated your 2nd birthday.  And oh what a beautiful day it was. You are absolutely lovely.  Your laughter fills the room and your eyes light up with joy. Your smile is something we all adore. You're full of adventure and you're brave as can be.  You're growing. And we love you more and more each day. We hope that you enjoyed your day. We love you little one. Love, mom.

Lately. September days...

Lately, The cooler weather has arrived. Today our high was in the '60s.  I've made two recent trips to pick up my Pumpkin spice latte. And if you haven't tried the pumpkin scone, you seriously have to as soon as possible. The leaves are slowly changing color and we're finding more scattered over our lawn. I love this change. I'm currently burning my apple spice candle. It smells like I just baked an apple pie. Speaking of apples, I recently made some bloomin' apples . They were so delicious. The girls were asleep and my husband and I enjoyed this time together. We sat and enjoyed every last bite.  Our oldest daughter is doing very well in school.  She loves her schedule and the fact that she is home with me. Her teacher recently moved her up to first-grade math. She tested out of kindergarten math and now we are working with her teacher on other subjects. She's ahead for kindergarten and her teacher has notice

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment... Took place in September 2015.  We attended the What if festival. We had such a blast! Here are a few things that took place during the festival... 1.  All the kids were loving the puppet riding a tricycle.  2. Just a quick view of part of the Downtown area.  3. We were entering the Bubble crossing area. Small bubbles, big bubbles, and a lot of colorful ones as well. 4. Art on the street.  A local artist came and created amazing images on the sidewalks. So much talent! 5. The BIG toaster oven!  This was such a fun event for all ages.  *** Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. Peaceful moments.

Here are a few of my peaceful moments. Welcome, September! I absolutely love this time of year.  These two little scarecrows come out every year around this time.   I picked some mucho jalapenos from my potted garden.  I added a little soy sauce and sesame oil. I then sauteed them for a little. Game night. My littlest one and I played a game. She absolutely loves this game. And I absolutely love to see her smile.   An art assignment with my oldest.  We made an autumn leaf garland to hang in the window.   Yes, we decorate early. I honestly can't wait for Fall to arrive. :) Evening lattes with my husband. We sat and chatted for a few. I love these moments. I created my Autumn wreath last weekend. I'm pleased with how it turned out. I will now wait patiently for fall to arrive. But for now, the air is cool and all is well.  *** Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment.
