Peaceful moment.

This Peaceful moment...
Took place on September, 2013.
It was a beautiful Autumn day.
The air was cool.
The sun was shining so bright.
I paused for a moment and captured this photo.

Morning sweetness.

Morning.
The sun is up...
We're greeted by little ones.
A good morning hug.
 And sweet gentle kiss.
These are moments we cherish the most.
We're off to the kitchen to make a sweet treat.
These simple and very easy Cinnamon rolls are best when shared with the ones you love.

- You'll need 1 can of Pillsbury thin crust pizza dough. -Any brand will do.
Begin with rolling out your dough. Once it's flat, sprinkle on some cinnamon and brown sugar. -
Make sure to add enough. - This helps give it that gooey goodness.
Optional: You can also add in some pecans. - This is so delicious!

Now this is where you will start rolling your dough. If you have some regular floss (unflavored) use this when cutting your dough. Simply take your floss under the dough and wrap it around. This will make the process easier and your slices even.

Place each slice into a greased glass pan. This next step is optional, but you can add some butter on top just before placing it in the oven. Bake for about 8-14 minutes.
While your cinnamon rolls are baking, take some confectioner's sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. -Mix together. Depending on how thick you want your icing you'll want to add more sugar. We normally don't measure when making the icing.

Now all that is left is to drizzle your icing on your freshly baked cinnamon rolls.
Oh and of course eat them!

Enjoy!

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment...
The weather was beautiful.
We took a stroll in the park.
We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather.
The geese were out, and kids were running, jumping, playing...
Just being free.
This was a very peaceful moment.

Our little garden buddies.- An easy Spring time craft.

We recently took a trip to the library, and created these fun little garden buddies. -This was a nice addition to our Botany unit study.
We had such a fun time! This was super simple, and very easy to create.

Materials needed:

-Seeds (We used grass seeds).
-Soil
-Stalking’s
-pipe cleaners
-googly eyes
-Plastic cup
Those of course are optional, but it just makes it more fun!

Start with taking some soil, and filling up your stalking. - You'll want to add just a little soil.
Next take some seeds, and place them in. Take the remaining soil and fill your stalking up. Make sure to cover the seeds.

Make sure it starts to form a round ball.

Once formed into a round ball, tie off the end of the stalking. I cut any excess material that was left.  This is when you can place it into your plastic cup. (You could even use a pot for this).

Now you can start decorating it. - Have fun, and be creative!

Place it in a sunny spot, and give it water. - You'll love watching your little garden buddy grow. My daughter loves it, and it is perfect for spring.

Enjoy!

Simple joyful moments.- Cherishing these moments.

“Your sacred time is now! Begin to live passionately.”  Lailah Gifty AkitaThink Great: Be Great!

Every day there are moments that we all cherish. Those moments when you want to hit pause, and just be in that moment. May we all cherish those simple joyful moments in our lives.

My Simple joyful moments.

-Dancing with my children. - After a long week being able to take a few moments out each day to dance with our children. We absolutely cherish these moments. - We feel free and completely in the moment.

- Laughter. - There's something about the power of laughter. In our home we laugh several times in the day. - It just feels so good! It helps just break up any tension, stress, or just those cranky moments we all have from time to time.

- Preparing dinner as a family. - We love to do this. We normally have some light music playing in the background and we'll head in the kitchen and prepare our meal. We laugh, talk, and share our thoughts for the day.

-Reading. - We love books! Any time we get to sit, and read to both girls is a time to bond, let go, and fully engage in a nice book.

- Outdoor adventures. -  We love being outdoors. We really enjoy family walks. It's a time we get to reflect on things, and bond as a family.

- A simple hug. - It can really help in any situation. That moment you are hugged by your love ones is a moment everything just feels so right.  When my girls wrap their tiny arms around me I feel at ease.

- A cup of coffee.- I cherish this moment. When my husband was in the Army he was constantly deploying. After being gone for an extended amount of time, he would arrive home and we would sit together and enjoy a cup of coffee every chance we got. - Eventually our neighbors gave us the nickname, "The love birds". My husband said every time he was able to have a cup of coffee on his deployment it made him think of being home. - I cherish this simple joyful moment.

-Morning sunlight.- I absolutely love how the morning sunlight shines through my window. -Barely peeking in.  I'm so thankful for a new day. - Hello morning sunlight.

Peaceful moment.

This Peaceful moment....
The weather was warm.
We sat out on the front porch.
My oldest daughter planted a few Chive seeds.
We talked about what dish we'll later prepare them in when they are all ready.
And here we are patiently waiting for Spring to arrive.
