Thankful.

“When you wish someone joy, you wish them peace, love, prosperity, happiness... all the good things.”
― Maya Angelou

And here we are...
Thanksgiving arrived and we continue to count our blessings.
We spent it at home. -The four of us.
It was peaceful, simple, and filled with so much love.
We're all very thankful.
Sometimes life gets hectic.
But let us be reminded to slow down and take in every moment.
Embrace this life and love the people who share this beautiful life with you.

Today.

Today
A little snow arrived.- I think it was just the right amount.
We wore our gloves, snow boots, and coats.
We gathered some snow.
Our four year old made a tiny snowman.
We colored the snow with food coloring and enjoyed some cocoa.
Today was simple and filled with so much love.

How's the weather over where you live?

*Hello new readers! I'm so happy to have you here.

Warming our hearts. (Quick recipe)

The days are getting colder.- We're bundling up more.
We recently took a trip to our local library. -During our visit my four year old made quick bird feeders for the birds. I'm sure the birds will love this. - I really hope they do as much as she enjoyed preparing it for them.

Today, I made a quick sweet potato casserole.- I enjoyed it with a nice cup of coffee. Today, was definitely a good day.

Here's a quick recipe

-  sweet potatoes (2)
-Cinnamon
-Pumpkin spice
-brown sugar
-Marshmallows

Boil sweet potatoes until tender. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Mash sweet potatoes and mix with butter and sprinkle in some brown sugar. Place them in a baking dish. Add marshmallows and sprinkle with pumpkin spice, cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake for about 15 minutes. You can also add in pecans, walnuts, or even raisins.  All done, enjoy!

How is the weather over where you live?  How are you all spending your days?  I'd love to know. :)

Here and there.

Halloween was simple.- We had a twirling Cinderella and a tiny bumblebee buzzing through our home. Our oldest had a friend over for games and a few crafts.
We filled our cups with cider.- This is something we do every year.
Later, we headed out. We visited a few homes and filled their bags with sweet goodies.

I'm still enjoying this fall weather. - The snow never did make it.  I'm happy. I'm not quite ready for snowy weather. For now, I'm enjoying the cooler weather.  We were able to try out this years Halloween drink from Starbucks.- Frappula Frappuccino.  It was delicious.

Little pumpkins remain on our windowsill. I'll move them soon and rearrange them on our dining table.  I've taken a few request for Thanksgiving and so I've been making a list of new foods to prepare.

Things have been simple.- I like it this way. We're still taking our weekly trips to our local library. I recently checked out a craft book. Maybe I'll make something soon. - My girls keep me busy. I'll see if I can fit in a little bit of craft time.

I started working on finishing my little ones scrap book.- I'll admit I'm behind just a little.  Things tend to get a bit hectic around here.- I'm fine with that. For now, I'll enjoy these simple moments with my family.

Thank you all for your sweet comments on both my blog and on Google+. I'm so happy you all enjoyed my post on my pumpkin doughnuts. They were delicious and really just hit the spot! I hope you were able to try out my recipe.

Thank you all for following along on my blogging journey. I appreciate all of you!
