This past weekend you turned 3.  You're full of laughter, joy and so much love. We gathered around and celebrated you on your special day. You're growing and each day we continue to love you even more. I truly can't believe how fast you're growing.  Sweet baby girl... we love you more than you'll ever know. I hope that you know that with each passing day, you bring us so much joy. I hope you enjoyed your birthday and that it was just as sweet as you are to us. Happy 3rd Birthday little love.

Summer, You have definitely treated us well. We enjoyed our time doing so much together.  Painting, water play, brewing sweet tea, building tents, bubble blowing, chalk doodles. cooking together, summer nights out on the porch, and lots of hugs and sweet kisses. We'll cherish these moments.  I'm truly happiest at home with my family. Thank you, summer. -You've been so good to us! Tomorrow our oldest starts 1st grade.  We're so proud of all the hard work she's always doing. She's eager to learn more, and she will be taking on some 2nd-grade work as well. We're so happy to see her grow and learn so much more. We'll continue to enjoy the upcoming weeks of summer and  make even more memories.  It's been an awesome break!  Until next time, so long summer break.

This peaceful moment... November 2015, it snowed the night before. Our oldest daughter went out and collected some snow. We used glitter, food coloring, and a few containers. We drank some cocoa and made an indoor snowman. It was a very enjoyable morning. Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. Around here... We just celebrated our oldest daughter turning five last week. -This time she had a few special requests. We ordered her a princess cake, took her bowling, and ate breakfast at IHOP. - These were just a few things she requested.  I still can't believe that she's five. - She's excited about new adventures. We just finished her enrollment in school last week. I'll still be homeschooling her, but she will also be attending a local virtual school.- This way, she will still have teachers and social events to attend with other students. I like to think of it as having the best of both worlds. I'll be her learning coach through the process.  My husband has taken on a project with our front railing. He's been finishing up with the staining and last-minute fixtures for it. It's really coming together. I've been sprucing a few things up around our home. - Making things a bit cozier outdoor...

But I can say- we're all doing well.  I'm sure I've overloaded on sweets and I've listened to way too much Christmas music. And I'm sure I have enjoyed way too many of my favorite Christmas movies. -One thing I'm certain of,- I've enjoyed every minute of it. We're all cheerful and filled with so much joy. A daughter is a day brightener and a heart warmer.  ~Author Unknown This weekend led up to our daughter's 3rd birthday. We spent our time finishing up plans and discussing how we would spend her special day. On Sunday we opened presents early. I spent time in the kitchen baking her birthday cake. - Strawberry cake with strawberry whipped topping. - It was a hit! We presented her cake a day early since our plan was to take her to the Denver aquarium on Monday. We sang happy birthday and she blew out her candles. It was simple and sweet. I may have cried a little. Just the thought of knowing my little girl is growing, it saddens me a little. I've been embracing each day, each moment I spend with her.
