10 things I want my daughters to know as they grow.

10 things I want my daughters to know as they grow 1. No matter what I will always love you Even when it might seem like I'm frustrated, sad, or just having a rough time.  I will always love you. 2. You're perfect just the way you are Always remember this. You are perfect just the way you are! 3.  Friends come and go I often tell myself that people are like seasons passing by.  You will realize that not all friends will stay.  As I grew up I realized that it wasn't about the number of friends, but the quality of friends. As time goes on you will learn this too. 4. Never feel rushed to heal Healing takes time. Never feel the need to rush the healing process. Take a deep breath, and gather your thoughts, but please never rush the healing process.  “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” ―  David Richo   5.   Always ask questions Big, small, or just because! Always ask questions. Asking questions, and get...

To be perfectly honest, you're teaching me so much as time goes on. I'm so proud to be your mother. My heart is full of love for both you and your sister. I hope that you know how loved you are. I love that you love math and want to be an astronaut when you're all grown up. We love that you enjoy science and that your love for space is mentioned often. You have such a big heart. May you always believe in yourself. May you always spread love where ever you go. We love you. Shine bright my little love.

Three!

This past weekend you turned 3.  You're full of laughter, joy and so much love. We gathered around and celebrated you on your special day. You're growing and each day we continue to love you even more. I truly can't believe how fast you're growing.  Sweet baby girl... we love you more than you'll ever know. I hope that you know that with each passing day, you bring us so much joy. I hope you enjoyed your birthday and that it was just as sweet as you are to us. Happy 3rd Birthday little love.

A little trip.

We recently took a little trip to the  Manitou Cliff Dwellings  museum. Our oldest had a field trip scheduled with some of the other students who also attend the online academy. My husband and I have visited the Cliff dwellings in the past, but this was the first visit for my oldest and her sister.  The weather was perfect out. A cool breeze and the sun peeked out from behind a few clouds. The children watched a 16-minute video on the Anasazi people. After they painted some clay bowls and we all took a tour. The tour was about two hours and the kids absolutely loved it. What a lovely adventure for all.
