Good days.

We had a wonderful week.  Yesterday we attended the Magic Bunny show at our local library.  This show included comedy, magic tricks, and cute little bunnies.- And a few birds.  Children gathered around and giggled and participated in this cute little performance.  We enjoyed our time. Today, instead of focusing so much on lessons we made sure to have a little fun.  We worked on a fun science experiment on clouds and rain.  Writing down our observations and just enjoying our time at home.  I like days when we set our lessons aside for the week and enjoy a little free time.  So today, we are enjoying some play dress up, baking pretend cakes, and dancing parties.  - Happy Friday to all!

Happy Friday.

Hooray, it's Friday! -And we're having a lovely day. My energy is making a comeback, and I'm feeling wonderful. Jolly Ranchers and Ginger Ale help out when my morning sickness hits. This morning- our daughter enjoyed dancing around. Of course, she asked if I'd dance with her. We boogied to one of her singing-along CDs.- I cherish moments like these.  I've been blending smoothies.//Simple ones with fruit. This one included raspberries and milk.  Bath time- Our daughter enjoys her bath time storybooks.  Lunchtime- I made grilled cheese, with ham. -Simple and delicious. Sneaky mom spying through the kitchen window watching our pug soak up some sun. Food coloring/water-She's creating art.  My husband was born in Massachusetts, he mentioned Fluffernutter to a co-worker sometime back. This co-worker contacted one of his friends in Boston, who eventually sent him a huge box of this yummy goodness.  My husband arrived ...

Hello friday.

Hello Friday, it's so nice to see you. :) I hope you all have had a wonderful week. Our week has been a sweet one. My daughter and I seem to always find something new to do. There's always a new adventure, and so much to explore. Yesterday we gave her some bubbles, and we were just so proud. She has officially learned how to blow bubbles. The first time we tried she blew a few, but this time it was back-to-back bubbles being blown. Ah, those sweet precious moments. Today we went to the library (toddler time), and there we sang, danced, and read books, and played with a few blocks. Her and I, plus another little girl and her mother were the only ones that showed up. (I'm sure the holiday had a lot to do with it) Once we were home again, I made us a tasty little snack. We enjoyed some apples with some peanut butter spread. I played some classic jazz-vocal blend for us, and  set up a tiny fort with a few pillows. We grabbed a few books, along with my daughters stuffed animal...

Happy Friday to all {diy art box}

My daughter absolutely loves craft time. I love watching her paint and create new things. She's constantly learning new things and through her she is teaching me to be a better person and mother. Today it's raining out. We made it out to the library for toddler time, the kids danced and listened to stories. We had a delicious lunch together and we painted for a few. So I had an empty box and decided to use it to make an art box for my daughters art supplies.  Materials needed: -Empty box -Construction/craft paper -paint (I added a few flowers to her box) : -scissors -glue I took the box and measured each size and cut out the size needed of the construction paper. I did this going around the entire box. Glue on your construction paper to all  sides. It was really simple. So now we have more storage for our daughter's art supplies and more! Enjoy! Have a lovely weekend!!

Spring time bookmarks

I was inspired by my soon to be 2 year old daughter, to create these fun spring time bookmarks I've noticed lately she has been sneaking our bookmarks out of our books when we leave them on our nightstand. My husband has even started hiding his books just to avoid losing his spot. How wonderful... Well I figured hey why not create some fun, cute, little bookmarks for my daughter. (Maybe then she will leave our bookmarks alone. (I guess we will see) Anyway here you go, here's a fun, simple craft you can enjoy doing with your little one. Materials need: 1.       Craft paper           2.       scissors 3.       glue 4.       cut out shapes of your choice 5.       crayons/markers-which ever you prefer 6.       & of course a little helper :) ...

It's Friday, and what a lovely day it is :)

Today I decided to make my daughter a little flower charm bracelet. She seems to like pink, so I went through my bead collection and found some lovely pink beads, and a flower charm, and started on her bracelet. She loved it!     Today we also went to the park, and enjoyed some time out in this beautiful weather. Once we got home, it was time for lunch, so I decided we would make a nice mini pizza for the two of us. Such a lovely day!   {My little helper, helping mommy with the pizza}     I hope you all enjoyed your day, and have a lovely weekend.
