Our Summer Days.

"It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside."- Maud Hart Lovelace I've taken a little break from blogging, and it has felt wonderful. I've been enjoying my summer with my children and my husband.  These days we are busy with projects, and just really having some summer fun! We recently took on a tie-dye project and had such a great time with that project. We visited our local craft store and picked up a few things to dye. We ended up with bags, pillowcases, shirts, and hats. I forgot just how messy this project can get!  Some days are hot, and other days we are fortunate to receive some rain, and I can honestly say that I cherish those rainy days. We have checked out a few E-books from our local library, and on those really hot days, we stay in and read.  Coffee dates are happening on the back porch. My husband and I really enjoy drinking coffee, and being able to drink our coffee together when the heat...

March and a few other things.

Hello all! I hope that life is treating you well. These days we're busy and now that it's Spring break we have been enjoying and exploring more. During Spring break we like to attend a few library events and other events that they have around town. At the end of April, we'll explore an Art museum. The weather here has been nice for the most part. Tonight they're saying that we may get some rain and snow. Not much will accumulate, but it's nice to get some moisture. This winter was pretty dry for us, and now I'm hoping that since it's Spring we'll get some rain showers. How's the weather where you're at? I haven't done much of gardening yet, but I'll work on that once the weather is a little warmer. Our grass is greening up a bit though. Lately, we have been enjoying family art night. Usually, if we aren't too busy we paint on Friday nights. I find us a painting tutorial on YouTube and we all painted together. So far I'v...

Our first weekend in October.

Hello October, You have been missed dearly.  We welcomed October with cool temps. It is absolutely gorgeous out with all the autumn colors.  We had a relaxing weekend. I took out a few autumn decor pieces and arranged them around our home.  I've completely become obsessed with anything that smells like fall. I normally have my wax burners on, but lately, I've been fighting a few candles early morning and late in the evening. Since the weather is cooler, I've been leaving the windows open. I normally open them in the afternoon. This past weekend the girls painted their little pumpkins. This is something we enjoy doing every year during the first weekend of October.  I baked over the weekend. Pumpkin cookies and banana bread. I really need to use up the rest of our bananas. After all the baking was done, I enjoyed a slice of banana bread with a nice cup of coffee.  We checked out a few books for the girls at t...
