Join us for a fun-filled trip to the zoo! Explore exciting activities and get a free printable animal report for an educational and memorable visit. Download now for free! Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great week. Recently, my family and I decided to visit our nearby zoo. We'd gone a few times before the pandemic but hadn't gone for a while. Since the weather was in the upper 60s, we decided to make reservations and visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, which is the highest zoo in the country, with an elevation of 6,714 feet above sea level. We had a lovely time at the zoo. We arrived on a warm and sunny day, but as the day progressed, the wind picked up and it got cooler. This is quite common during this time of year in Colorado. Despite the weather, we continued exploring the zoo and the girls even participated in a learning activity to count towards their school hours. All in all, it was a fun and educational family trip that we all enjoyed. During our visit to the z...

March and a few other things.

Hello all! I hope that life is treating you well. These days we're busy and now that it's Spring break we have been enjoying and exploring more. During Spring break we like to attend a few library events and other events that they have around town. At the end of April, we'll explore an Art museum. The weather here has been nice for the most part. Tonight they're saying that we may get some rain and snow. Not much will accumulate, but it's nice to get some moisture. This winter was pretty dry for us, and now I'm hoping that since it's Spring we'll get some rain showers. How's the weather where you're at? I haven't done much of gardening yet, but I'll work on that once the weather is a little warmer. Our grass is greening up a bit though. Lately, we have been enjoying family art night. Usually, if we aren't too busy we paint on Friday nights. I find us a painting tutorial on YouTube and we all painted together. So far I'v...

A little trip.

We recently took a little trip to the  Manitou Cliff Dwellings  museum. Our oldest had a field trip scheduled with some of the other students who also attend the online academy. My husband and I have visited the Cliff dwellings in the past, but this was the first visit for my oldest and her sister.  The weather was perfect out. A cool breeze and the sun peeked out from behind a few clouds. The children watched a 16-minute video on the Anasazi people. After they painted some clay bowls and we all took a tour. The tour was about two hours and the kids absolutely loved it. What a lovely adventure for all.

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment... Took place in September 2015.  We attended the What if festival. We had such a blast! Here are a few things that took place during the festival... 1.  All the kids were loving the puppet riding a tricycle.  2. Just a quick view of part of the Downtown area.  3. We were entering the Bubble crossing area. Small bubbles, big bubbles, and a lot of colorful ones as well. 4. Art on the street.  A local artist came and created amazing images on the sidewalks. So much talent! 5. The BIG toaster oven!  This was such a fun event for all ages.  *** Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. I would love to hear what your peaceful moment has been during the week or a peaceful memory from the past. Leave your comment below or on Google+.

Peaceful moment.

This week I actually had a few peaceful moments that I would love to share with you all. This peaceful moment took place in the morning. I was out watering my flowers and I noticed I had a little garden visitor. - For about an hour this grasshopper stayed for some morning sunlight and cool breeze. This peaceful moment.- I came across a picture of our first home. (When it was just my husband and me). It brought back so many memories.  This peaceful moment actually took place on Sunday. - The girls were already in bed for the night. My husband and I sat out in the back and just enjoyed a nice conversation. - Our time together was very enjoyable.  This peaceful moment.- I was preparing some cold brew coffee. I love this process and it always smells amazing while it slowly makes its way through the filter. This peaceful moment.- My youngest played with the new doll carrier. I received it as a gift for doing reviews.  My girls love it and I ...
