Decorate a Mini Wreath Ornament in Minutes

Hello everyone! I want to share a quick painting and decorating project with you today. While shopping at my local craft store, I came across an adorable mini wreath hanging ornament that I purchased last year. Today, I decided to decorate it! This simple project can be completed in just a few minutes. If you’re ready, I’ll provide a materials list below along with easy-to-follow instructions on how I decorated my mini wreath ornament. Quick Video tutorial Materials -One wooden mini wreath ornament -Acrylic paint -Paintbrush -Optional: glitter glue, Epsom salt, Mod Podge -Paint marker -Mini bow -Hot glue To start, add acrylic paint to your mini wreath. I chose a darker green shade for mine.  Next, I used red paint to create a few berries on the wreath. This step is optional, but it adds a lovely touch of sparkle.  I also dec...

Easy Shoji Screen Makeover

Hi everyone! I hope all is well with you. Today I am going to take my almost 20-year-old shoji screen and transform it using just a few materials I had on hand. I purchased this shoji screen when living in Arizona. When my husband, and I moved around due to the military, this screen followed along with us. It has been through a lot. I decided over the weekend that I would give it a complete makeover. I'd love to share my experience with all of you. This project took one day to complete. I decided to keep the white shoji paper and work around it. Materials  Peel and stick wallpaper -The roll I am using was purchased at Lowe's during a sale they had. I believe it was $37 for the package. And it only takes one to complete this project Paint- I'm using my leftover Valspar furniture and cabinet paint Adhesive- E6000 Paintbrush Ruler  Scissors Spray paint Screwdriver Start by applying paint to the frame on each section of your shoji screen. Teamwork. Simple days

It's summer, and boy has it been heating up! This weekend we stayed in. We joined in the baby's room and painted as a family. Our daughter helped with excitement. We played some music and chatted about our plans for when her little sister arrives. Before we painted, we had a buttercream-light yellow color on the walls. It was a color I chose during my husband's last deployment in the Army. Of course, with a toddler, painting took two full days. In between, we snacked on kettle corn and oranges while watching a movie. With this heat, I've been watering my plants early morning and later in the evening. After our time spent painting, we all freshened up and enjoyed a nice dinner. It felt so nice to sit and relax. Our days were simple. Teamwork at its best! I'm happy to say we finished the painting. How did you spend your time this weekend?

Learning colors, friendly monsters..and water painting

We had such a busy and fun morning. We have been working on shapes, numbers and colors. Today we did an activity on colors. Using a paper plate, construction paper cut them into squares, and glue them onto the paper plate. I did the same for the clothespins. I made sure to write out each color above each square on the plate. My daughter loved it. We have done something similar to this but with shapes.  Onto our friendly monsters... A few months back we came across this cute book called, "So many monsters". We picked this cute book up at Target in the dollar section. It's about friendly monsters. Monsters who enjoy tea, and those who dress nice :) Our daughter loves when we  read this book to her. She really  likes when daddy changes his voice, and does a silly monster voice. :) With this book we made some popsicle stick monsters. We also enjoyed some water painting. Using food coloring and water. I taped up some ea...
