Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. It's a new year and I'm wishing you all the best. May you all go on new adventures, make new friends, and continue to have many more blessings come your way.  I'm excited about this new year. This year I'd like to go on new adventures, be more in the moment, work on having more patience, and create a space that is full of beauty, and inspiration. I want to take more pictures of my kids as they grow with each passing day. I've realized that life passes us by so quickly and we must enjoy this current moment.  There is so much beauty around us and we must take the time to notice it, be still, and be in the moment. I'm leaving behind sad moments that truly left me feeling complete down, shaking off those negative vibes, and I'm filling my daily cup with positive, loving, caring vibes. -Honestly, we all should! So please feel free and come along with me on this journey.  What are your plans f...

Here and there. -Life, thoughts, and more.

It's amazing how fast time has flown by this year. The cold weather is settling in, and we must wrap up warmly as our children go out trick-or-treating tonight. Last week we attended a neighborhood trunk or treat, but my husband wasn't happy about the long queues, so we had to rush. Tonight, we're hoping to move quickly as our two trick-or-treaters make their rounds. I've had to keep the heat on all day due to the cold weather. What's the weather like where you are? We've finally almost completed the roof repair after the big hailstorm a few months ago, although it took longer than anticipated. My brother recently took the Ancestry DNA test, and we were surprised by the results. We have a wide range of ethnicities besides Asian, which is wonderful to discover. Thanksgiving is coming up, and I can't wait to share the wonderful experience of preparing the food with some wonderful helpers. This year, I'm particularly grateful for my wonderful family. We...

Autumn.-Our days.

Isn't it beautiful how with each season comes to change? My favorite season of them all is Autumn and I'm so glad that it has arrived. With each day that passes, we see change and it's really important to capture each moment. I look back on pictures that I've taken and I'm amazed at how so much has changed over time.  My flowers in the garden are still showing off their beautiful colors, but some are slowly fading away. I normally cut a few and bring them into the house and display them in vases. My fall decor is out and today there is a cool breeze in the air. My oldest has been busy with school. Our youngest just turned four this month. They are always making us smile. I'll celebrate my birthday this month and I'm actually looking forward to a few changes. My husband just had a big promotion and we are just so thankful.-God is good all the time!  Our days are busy, but our days are always filled with so much love. These days I'm just reall...

March and a few other things.

Hello all! I hope that life is treating you well. These days we're busy and now that it's Spring break we have been enjoying and exploring more. During Spring break we like to attend a few library events and other events that they have around town. At the end of April, we'll explore an Art museum. The weather here has been nice for the most part. Tonight they're saying that we may get some rain and snow. Not much will accumulate, but it's nice to get some moisture. This winter was pretty dry for us, and now I'm hoping that since it's Spring we'll get some rain showers. How's the weather where you're at? I haven't done much of gardening yet, but I'll work on that once the weather is a little warmer. Our grass is greening up a bit though. Lately, we have been enjoying family art night. Usually, if we aren't too busy we paint on Friday nights. I find us a painting tutorial on YouTube and we all painted together. So far I'v...

Give me glitter and sparkles.-3 simple and fun crafts

1. Upcycled Decorative Jar Materials Needed: - Mod Podge - Sponge brush or paintbrush - Glitter - Wooden letters - Painter's tape - LED battery-operated candle - Adhesive (I used Aleene's Original, The Ultimate Multi-Surface Adhesive) - Silk flower (optional)   Instructions:   1. Start with a clean jar; I used an old candle jar for this project. 2. Take your wooden letters and adhesive, and glue the letters to the jar. Allow this to dry for about 5 minutes. 3. Use painter's tape to cover the top and bottom sections of the jar. Make sure to do this before applying the Mod Podge. 4. Once the areas are taped off, apply Mod Podge using a sponge brush or paintbrush. 5. After applying the Mod Podge, sprinkle glitter over the areas where you applied it to ensure full coverage. 6. Let the jar dry for 10-15 minutes.  7. Once dry, gently remove the tape. 8. Choose a spot to display your newly designed jar and enjoy!   Feel free to add a silk flower if you'd like to enhanc...

May you twinkle ever so brightly.

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” ―Oprah Winfrey   Source We made it through another year. This year sure was a roller coaster. I didn't blog as much as I would have liked to. The beginning of the year was pretty rough after losing my father. I wish I could go back and just give him the biggest hug. Of course with the amazing support of my family and friends, I've managed to pull through. I'm reconnecting with those I once lost contact with and I'm just trying to live and experience life to the fullest. This year may not have started as a good one, but I think there are many life lessons and I'm learning each day that life is truly short and we need to cherish the ones we love and those who love us back. Stop trying to earn love from those who push you away.  Love those who have been with you through ups and downs and have never left your side. May you live life to the fullest. Smile more. H...

Blogging: 8 ways to help improve your blogging journey

Looking to improve your blogging journey? Check out these 8 helpful ways to enhance your blogging skills and make the most of your online presence. Blogging: 8 ways to help improve your blogging journey 1. Blog about things you love. It is crucial to always blog about things that come from the heart. My blog mainly focuses on my family, recipes, crafts, and moments in between. Since I enjoy creating things with my family, I decided to share some of those things on my blog. 2. Don't focus on the number of followers. It is not about the number of followers you have, but the engagement you have with your readers. Many people focus on the number of followers they have instead of focusing on the interactions they have with their readers. 3. Embrace new opportunities. I have been asked many times to participate in product reviews. Depending on what is being asked of me, I usually say yes. It is a great idea to embrace these new opportunities because it helps you grow as a blogger, and...

The blogger behind the blog.- A little about me.

Get to know me! With the help of one of my awesome friends, I've answered a few questions on blogging and life. Enjoy~ Q- Do you enjoy blogging? And why? A-I truly enjoy sharing my journey with all of you.- My thoughts, photos, current happenings, and much more. It really brings peace within. I honestly don't blog for followers. (If you are a regular reader of my blog, you might have noticed that I've taken down my followers). I actually did that some time back. There are a lot of bloggers out there that compare followers and comments, etc. I'm definitely not one. (So please don't leave me a link saying if you follow my blog, I'll follow you back). Honestly, we should all read blogs because we enjoy them. Not because you want a follow back. All I want is for you to come along on my blogging journey and enjoy it! -Whether you follow me, or you're just a visitor. Q-Tell us a little about the blogger... A-I'm a simple person, who tends to love ...
