Pizza party fun activity {learning shapes, adding toppings}

We had such a fun time at our daughters play pizza party. Using construction paper, we put together a pizza and added some delicious toppings. :) This activity was fun, and very hands on. This was a great way to for our daughter to learn more about shapes as she explored with the pizza toppings. The toppings we had at our play pizza party were: Olives pineapples pepperoni bell pepper cheese Our daughter had so much fun arranging the toppings, and we also went over a few shapes as she placed it on her pizza. Such a fun activity for the whole family. Pin For later

Learning about shapes

Today I took my daughter to the park where we had so much fun. While at the park I showed her all the different shapes on the playground. For example, the difference between the slide and the tire swing.  She really had a fun time exploring. We had so much fun exploring at the park and playing on the playground. Once we returned home I figured it would be nice to continue teaching her about shapes. So I took a book that we actually purchased at Target in the dollar section. It's called "Bee Smart" -Shapes. I took some construction paper, and cut out the shapes. My daughter and I went through the book naming each shape, and she would place the cut out shape on the right shape in the book. It was a fun and very easy learning activity that we both enjoyed. We always have so much fun learning together! :) Hope you all are having a wonderful day~

Getting creative! Learning about shapes :)

Today we are learning about shapes in a fun creative way! I love Pinterest, and I'm always on there looking for fun new creative ways to teach my daughter. A while back I came across a Pinterest pin on using popsicle sticks to create shapes.  I loved the idea of using popsicle sticks. So today since my daughter is feeling a little better I decided to take some popsicle sticks and create just a few shapes. Right now we are learning about shapes, and numbers. This really helped teach her in a fun creative way. I only had a few popsicle sticks available and they were the smaller ones. I’m thinking next time I go to the craft store I will   probably pick up some thicker popsicle sticks.
