The letter P, and diy learning activity lessons

We had so much fun learning yesterday! The letter of the day was P. We learned about Panda's, letter P coloring, made some peas in a pod, went over a few words that begin with the letter P. We also did some potato stamping. It was so fun. I started working on a  learning activity lesson book for my daughter. Inside the activities are: -Counting Apples -Alphabet bubbles -Days of the week -Colorful fishes & -What do you see

Learning together...

Today was filled with learning, laughter, dancing and painting. Todays book was- Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? By Bill Martin Jr/Eric Carle. I decided to do a fun learning activity with this book. (Color and Animal Identification) I traced and colored each animal and cut them out. I also labeled each one. As we read to our daughter we asked her if she could find each animal. Our daughter would then grab each picture and tell us the name of the animal and also the color. It was such a fun learning activity! All you need for this activity -paper -scissors -crayons/markers -book/which ever book you would like to do this activity with {Of course we had art time} :) I hope you all have enjoyed your day~

Getting creative! Learning about shapes :)

Today we are learning about shapes in a fun creative way! I love Pinterest, and I'm always on there looking for fun new creative ways to teach my daughter. A while back I came across a Pinterest pin on using popsicle sticks to create shapes.  I loved the idea of using popsicle sticks. So today since my daughter is feeling a little better I decided to take some popsicle sticks and create just a few shapes. Right now we are learning about shapes, and numbers. This really helped teach her in a fun creative way. I only had a few popsicle sticks available and they were the smaller ones. I’m thinking next time I go to the craft store I will   probably pick up some thicker popsicle sticks.
We recently started doing the letter of the day with our daughter. In the past I have worked on the word of the day and also we have randomly picked a letter of the day out of a cup. This time around I figured it would be nice to go through the alphabet with her. We have gone through A-H. Today the letter is I. My daughter loves painting, so what I did was trace out the letter I and allowed her to paint it, she loved it. Few words we came across today were igloo, iguana, ice, ice cream, and a few others. It’s fun seeing what you can find around the house using the letter of the day. "To teach is to learn twice." -- Joseph Joubert

The letter of the day: A

Today in our home we learned about the letter A. I figured each day it would be nice to go over a new letter of the alphabet. So today our letter was A :) We used flashcards, dry erase board, magnets, and books which had the letter A.

My thoughts on Abc mouse.com

ABC mouse.com We decided to give it a try! It's $8 a month,(and right now they are offering one free month) and so far we... LOVE it :) On their site they have an area for toddlers, which we are using for our daughter. They provide educational games, puzzles, art activities, online books and printables. Lesson plans are given to your child to complete, and when they are completed they give your child a gift for his/her avatar. Your child will learn about numbers, the alphabet, reading & much more.-(Art & music) So far we love it, and I can tell our daughter is enjoying it. The site has so much for them to explore!
