Summer.

Late mornings. Warm air. Late nights. Blended drinks. Big smiles. Chalk doodling. Sunny evenings. Summer rain. Water play. Dinner outdoors. Oh, what a summer it has been. I'm so thankful for this time with my family. We continue to make memories, and I absolutely cherish this time together. We've taken the time to really enjoy this summer. I hope you're all enjoying your summer! Until next time... SMILE!

Sunday rain.

Sunday... The morning started with a light breeze. Clouds covered most of the sky and the sun barely peeked through. By this point, we were certain that we would get some rain.- At least a little. By evening, the rain came down. We sat out just before dinner and enjoyed the rain, conversation, and some family time.- A perfect ending to our Sunday. Hello to all my readers! Thank you for coming on my blogging journey. I appreciate all of you.

Rainy day, please stay..{Currently}

 I'm embracing these rainy days. Ah, the smell of rain.- So fresh. Perfect weather for a snuggle, a cup of coffee, and of course for the little ones to splash in rain puddles. We've been having a few thunderstorms late at night. Today it has mostly been a light sprinkle. - I'm enjoying this very much. Currently -Baking an apple coffee cake in the slow cooker. -Piles of books lay on our living room floor.  -My oldest is singing. She enjoys this very much. And of course, her little sister can't stop smiling. -A warm cup of coffee awaits me in the kitchen. -Rain is coming down. It really is relaxing. -I've started a load of laundry. Something about doing laundry on a rainy day... -Math lessons are set aside for our oldest. -We'll get to them later this evening. For now... We will enjoy our time together on this rainy day.

Lately.

“Any moment called  now  is always full of possibles.”  ―  China Miéville ,  Kraken Lately. Rain visits us during the day. Nights are cooler and the sun shines perfectly.  We spend our time out on the porch.- Our daughter blowing bubbles and splashing away in her pool. My husband grills and I kick my feet up and enjoy these moments with my family.  Lately. Nature is absolutely beautiful. Rainbows appear after the rain and fields of flowers blow gently in the wind. Normally you can go on long drives and see nothing but sunflowers lining the side of the roads. -It's beautiful.  Lately. I'm nearing the end of this pregnancy.- 38 weeks next week.  I'm nesting, adjusting, and experiencing sleepless nights.  I've been experiencing contractions. Lots of contractions.  I usually sit them out, swaying my hips while sitting on my exercise ball. This is the time that our d...

Warm Sunny days.

“Every summer there are a number of nights, not many, but a number when everything is perfect. The light, the warmth, the smells, the mist, the birdsong – the moths. Who can sleep? Who wants to?”  ―  Fredrik Sjöberg ,  The Fly Trap: A Book about Summer, Islands and the Freedom of Limits Summer happenings Time in my garden.- I've had so many visitors in my garden these past few days. The rain has brought moisture and new life. Bumblebees, baby birds, butterflies, caterpillars and hummingbirds.-They all stop by for a brief hello and go on their way.  Arranging flowers. - My daughter has been making her very own flower arrangements from the garden. We snip a few flowers together. She's always prepared, wearing her tiny little garden gloves. Soon after, she arranges her flowers.-Just the way she wants them. It's beautiful and I'm glad she enjoys her arrangement.  The weather is warm. - We still have days that the ra...

Summer days at home.

It's been raining a lot! We actually had two days when the rain came falling down the entire day. It was dark and gloomy out. A few days before, we took a little trip out to Target. We picked up some puzzles and melty beads. -Their dollar aisle is amazing! We actually ended up throwing in a small, simple kite.  At home, we have enjoyed putting together puzzles. Our daughter absolutely loves working on puzzles. Her face lights up, and she's so proud when she puts her puzzles together all by herself. Of course, we're proud of her too.   I also came across some melty beads. Oh, what a fun little project to get your hands on. On a rainy evening, we worked on our melty beads. It took some time, and with the leftover beads, our daughter will create one of her own. She was such a great helper. After we were all done, we took them and added some magnetic tape on the back, and added them to the fridge.    Recently, we bought a new ...

July. Life lately

We spend our time together... I'm happy when we're all together, enjoying simple conversation and laughter. It's summer...I'm pregnant, hot, and sore these days. Still trying to stay positive through it all. I'm enjoying sweet decaf tea, blended smoothies, and iced decaf coffee. I'm content, and it cools me down. We're currently going over a series of preschool workbooks. - But still... building blocks, coloring, and other hands-on activities are what our daughter enjoys the most. These days, I'm enjoying my exercise ball. Sitting, relaxing, or just swaying my hips from side to side.- Brings so much relief to this discomfort I am now experiencing. We got a glimpse of our little one a few days back. She was moving and grooving all over the place.  It's been raining these past few days.- I'm talking pouring, flooding, kind of rain. So, of course, we splashed in puddles and danced in the rain.-It was a...
