I hope you're having a great week. Recently, my family and I decided to visit our nearby zoo. We'd gone a few times before the pandemic but hadn't gone for a while. Since the weather was in the upper 60s, we decided to make reservations and visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, which is the highest zoo in the country, with an elevation of 6,714 feet above sea level. We had a lovely time at the zoo. We arrived on a warm and sunny day, but as the day progressed, the wind picked up and it got cooler. This is quite common during this time of year in Colorado. Despite the weather, we continued exploring the zoo and the girls even participated in a learning activity to count towards their school hours. We decided to take a day trip to explore the downtown Denver area. On this particular day, my husband and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and wanted to have a mini date that included time with the kids as well. Our adventure started with us eating at the Cheesecake Factory. We wanted to make sure our tummies were full before we took on this day trip. The food was amazing, and we just really enjoyed this time together.  The weather wasn't so cold, but we still made sure to bundle up in warm coats. The Denver Art Museum is located in the Civic Center of downtown Denver. I also learned that this museum is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast, and Chicago. -We learn something new each day.
