At Peace.- 5 Activities for stress relief

Here are five effective ways to relieve stress: 1. Start an indoor garden:  Try cultivating different types of succulent plants as they are relatively easy to care for. You can also grow herbs indoors in pots and place them on your windowsill. Exposing them to sunlight, watering them, and observing their growth can promote inner peace and reduce stress. 2. Explore an adult coloring book:  Coloring can be an excellent way to relax. Find a cozy and quiet spot, and spend 15-20 minutes coloring a page from your book. 3. Discover a new podcast:  Find a podcast that interests you and listen to it while enjoying your morning coffee/tea. It can be a wonderful way to start your day feeling refreshed. 4. Take a breathing session:  Guided breathing sessions are available on smartwatches/fitness trackers, but you can also do them on your own. Find a serene spot, calming music, and maybe even a guided meditation video. Take a few minutes and be mindful of your surroundings, and a...

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment took place in September 2015. It was a quiet evening and I took some time to work on an adult coloring sheet. Sometimes we just need to quiet our minds and do something we enjoy. A nice cup of tea, coloring pencils, and a creative coloring sheet. -Indeed, it was a very peaceful moment. *** Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. I would love to hear what your peaceful moment has been during the week or a peaceful memory from the past. Leave your comment below or on Google+.

Just a little time.

Breakfast is made. Showers are taken.  Lessons are done.  Reading is done. - For now, that is. The laundry is washed and put away.  Dishes are washed and put away. Some playtime with the girls.- Building blocks, wagon rides, baby dolls, pretend cooking, and a few tickles here and there.  Lunch is prepared and eaten.  Naps are being taken. And here I am. Not napping, but contemplating on what I am going to do next. I purchased a few flowers. I haven't planted them yet. I'm hoping this evening I'll be able to. -Once it's a bit cooler and the clouds move in. I figured it out! I'll enjoy a nice cup of coffee and enjoy this adult coloring page I recently printed off. - It was an offer for a freebie and I couldn't pass it up. So while the girls are sleeping, I'll enjoy this time. Clearing my thoughts. Expressing my creative side.  - Just a little time...doing one of the things that I enjoy.  Welcome new read...

Craft time.-Butterfly & Bumblebee

Saturday night, my daughter and I had so much fun working on this craft. Butterfly, and bumblebee- using toilet paper rolls! For this craft you will need: -Craft paper -Scissors -glue stick -markers/crayons -toilet paper roll Start off with  taking your tp roll, apply glue over it, and apply your craft paper around the tp roll. Make sure to cover the entire roll. Now once that part is done just use your imagination and creativity. I actually cut a few strips and used them on the bumblebee's body. You can create wings, and whatever you would like to see on your creations. We really enjoyed this fun and easy craft. Once we were all done my daughter chased our pug around with the bumblebee! :) Enjoy!  Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun. ~ Mary Lou Cook

Let's decorate cupcakes! Toddler craft :)

I'm always trying to think of new crafts to do with my daughter. And so today I decided we would decorate some paper cupcakes! We used a cupcake cutout and traced a few of our own. We colored them, added some paint, and some glitter and yes it did get a little messy. But that's what made it so fun. We really enjoyed this craft together. Enjoy!
