Warming our hearts. (Quick recipe)

The days are getting colder.- We're bundling up more.  We recently took a trip to our local library. -During our visit my four-year-old made quick bird feeders for the birds. I'm sure the birds will love this. - I really hope they do as much as she enjoyed preparing it for them.  Today, I made a quick sweet potato casserole.- I enjoyed it with a nice cup of coffee. Today, was definitely a good day.  Here's a quick recipe -  sweet potatoes (2) -Cinnamon -Pumpkin spice -brown sugar -Marshmallows  Boil sweet potatoes until tender. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mash sweet potatoes and mix with butter and sprinkle in some brown sugar. Place them in a baking dish. Add marshmallows and sprinkle with pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Bake for about 15 minutes. You can also add pecans, walnuts, or even raisins.  All done, enjoy!   How is the weather over where you live?  How are you all spending your da...

This day was simple and sweet.  Surrounded by my loved ones. I enjoyed it very much.

A sweet celebration.

A daughter is a day brightener and a heart warmer.  ~Author Unknown This weekend led up to our daughter's 3rd birthday. We spent our time finishing up plans and discussing how we would spend her special day. On Sunday we opened presents early. I spent time in the kitchen baking her birthday cake. - Strawberry cake with strawberry whipped topping. - It was a hit! We presented her cake a day early since our plan was to take her to the Denver aquarium on Monday. We sang happy birthday and she blew out her candles. It was simple and sweet. I may have cried a little. Just the thought of knowing my little girl is growing, it saddens me a little. I've been embracing each day, each moment I spend with her.
