How to Transform Glass Garlic Jars into Multi-Functional Pin Cushions with Storage

Transform your glass garlic jars into multi-functional pin cushions with storage by following this creative and practical DIY tutorial. You will learn how to repurpose these jars into stylish and useful organization tools for sewing or crafting supplies. Hello everyone! A while ago, I purchased some pin cushions from my local Dollar Tree and stored them away, completely forgetting about them. Today, while cleaning, I came across them and decided to use them with my glass garlic jars. I thought the glass garlic jars would be wonderful for creating multi-functional pin cushion storage jars. Materials Three pin cushions Glass jars (I'm reusing my garlic jars) Mod Podge Paintbrush Acrylic paint Sewing and craft accessories to add to each glass jar Adding Mod Podge and Paint to jars To give my jars a stained glass appearance, I combined my Mod Podge and paint. I used a paintbrush to add a thin layer of the mixture and then used a drying tool to dry the paint. I repeated this process for...

A blanket for my littlest one.

Warm, snuggled up, and carried from room to room. This little blanket will certainly be with her where ever she goes. My two-year-old is growing so quickly and she is full of energy. These days she's running, jumping, singing, and twirling. I really cherish these moments and honestly, I wish they would stay this small forever.   I recently sewed a blanket for her. It will keep her warm through the winter months. She's always talking about Doc Mcstuffins, so I found a cute pattern I'm sure she will love. When her sister was two I made a blanket for her as well. She continues to use it through the winter months and I'm thrilled to see her little sister enjoy her new blanket soon. I'll wrap it and tie a bow around it and place it under the tree until Christmas. Maybe one day they will pass their blankets down to their little ones.  I hope she knows that this blanket was made with some much love. 💗

DIY Spring sewing pin cushion with storage

{DIY SPRING PIN CUSHION} Materials needed: An empty candle jar with a lid Hot glue gun ribbon the fabric of your choice Optional decorative flower Scissors poly-fil Start off by cutting your fabric to place onto your lid. I took a marker and traced a circle a little bigger than the lid Using my poly-fil I glued it onto the lid.  After I  took my fabric and covered the poly-fil and started gluing my fabric to the underside of my lid. I usually have bad luck when doing this and it seems as though the lid won't close completely But I used a thinner fabric and the top actually grips the jar, so it worked out. Your lid should be able to fit securely onto your jar. I then took my hot glue and applied my ribbon around the bottom of my cushion. This is optional, but if you would like, add a flower to add just a little extra cuteness to your  pin cushion. Enjoy!

Sewing complete..maybe a hike later :)

I finally finished a few sewing projects I started for my daughter. It was so nice to see these projects complete. I sewed her a little hello kitty tote, and a hello kitty blanket, along with a pillow case. (Those two are stored away, I'm waiting to surprise her with those on her birthday tomorrow) What projects have you started on?                   Today we are having some beautiful weather, I'm sure we will all go for a nice stroll, or maybe even a little hike. :) I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.
