This peaceful moment took place in November 2013. Cold weather, coffee brewing, and these delicious Jam cookies were in the oven baking. It was wonderful and we enjoyed them as we sipped our coffee and stayed warm indoors.  Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment. This peaceful moment... The weather was beautiful. We took a stroll in the park. We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather. The geese were out, and kids were running, jumping, playing... This peaceful moment... Took place in August 2014.- It was a beautiful day. My oldest daughter and I had finished picking a few flowers from the garden. This Peaceful moment... The weather was warm. We sat out on the front porch. My oldest daughter planted a few Chive seeds. We talked about what dish we'll later prepare them for when they are ready. This peaceful moment... This was taken in September 2014. It took place on a hiking trail nearby.  The weather was absolutely beautiful, and these sunflowers blew gently in the wind. This peaceful moment... My four-year-old was thrilled to see  how her crystal heart turned out. ***** Below I've included instructions on making your very own crystal hearts. How to make your own crystal hearts. 1 Clear jar 4 Tablespoons of Borax (Detergent booster) 1 Pipe cleaner. (Any color will work) Boiling water, -around 3 cups. String Pencil We started out by making a heart shape using our pipe cleaner. Take your clear jar and set it aside. Now it's time to boil your water. (You can either boil your water on the stove, or in the microwave). While it's boiling, tie the string to the middle of the pencil. And taking the other end of your string attach it to your heart shape. Next, pour the boiling water into the jar. Add in 4 tablespoons of Borax . Give it a nice stir. Make sure it all dissolves....

This week has been very busy.-labs, appointments, lessons, and lots of art with the little ones. This peaceful moment... came shortly after my doctor's visit. A nice cup of hot green tea with honey. This peaceful moment... My daughter just finished her weaving loom project. She was pretty excited. This will make the perfect gift for her grandmother. I admire her creativity, and I'm excited to see her mature in some of the activities she enjoys. Each Thursday, I'll be posting a photo taken during a peaceful moment.
