Summer.

Summer. Our days are longer. Morning comes and goes, but I still make time for that first cup of coffee. It's dry out. And each day I keep my fingers crossed that it will rain.- So far we've been lucky enough to have a few rainy days. My flowers are blooming, but need some extra love. I fertilize when it's cooler, and water when it is needed.  Water play, bike rides, and library trips are enjoyed.- I cherish all these simple moments. I'm waiting for days to become a little cooler. Ah, Summer, having you around has been okay, but honestly, I'm ready for cooler days to stick around. ❤

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment... My little garden helpers. Watering cans, potted vegetables, and sunshine. ****** Each Thursday I will be posting a peaceful moment.  I would love to know what your peaceful moment has been during the week or a peaceful memory from the past. :)

Summer lovin' and melon pops

One benefit of summer was that each day we had more light to read by. ~Jeannette Walls,  The Glass Castle Oh, summer lovin'... We're enjoying having you around. We've been busy attending outdoor concerts, puppet shows at the library, and  little ones in the swimming pool. - We're having such a lovely time... MELON POPS It's been hot, and so I've been enjoying my time in the kitchen preparing summer drinks and refreshing popsicles.   Recently, I came across a recipe for melon pops. When I was younger, my mother would purchase these delicious Korean melon pops. I was thrilled when I came across this recipe on  http://www.thesquishymonster.com/ . I swear these melon pops are delicious and so easy to make. I hope you all are enjoying your summer!  Welcome new readers! I'm so happy to have you all here.

A few things.

A few things... -We're going over plants and seeds! My oldest absolutely loves helping in the garden. Right now she's observing a bean grow in a mason jar. Each day we take down a few notes and discuss the transformation of the bean. - I planned an event at the park! It was wonderful.- Paint and bubbles in the park. A few moms showed up with their little ones and we all enjoyed the nice weather and chatted. -I've been making shakers for my littlest one. She's moving and grooving. She's a very active baby and loves to shake things. Using an old cinnamon candy container, food coloring, and noodles, I was able to create a simple and fun shaker.  -My littlest one is now 8 months. I'm continuing to nurse her and she's exploring pureed foods. Her favorite is a squash with brown rice.  -Our oldest daughter loves reading to us now. She's so wonderful and we enjoy the time that she reads to us. Childr...

Sunny days.

Sunny days. - Kite  flying - Outdoor play - Robot crafts - Planting seeds - Gardening -Trips to the library -Making music It's been hot! Honestly, the temperatures here shouldn't bother me as much. After living in Arizona for so long you would think I could handle Colorado temperatures. -Pregnancy in hot weather has been tough!  -I'm dealing though. I make sure I'm staying hydrated and cool on hot sunny days. On sunny, breezy days we enjoy our time outdoors. Lately, we have enjoyed our time flying kites. Our daughter enjoyed her first time flying a kite on Father's day weekend. That day the sky was clear, there was a gentle breeze and everyone seemed to enjoy their time at the park.  I'm spending evenings out in our backyard. Gardening and pruning plants. I replaced my last strawberry plant and this one is actually producing strawberries. Currently, in my vegetable garden, we have three different types of peppe...

Snapshots. Our week

Warm weather/creating art/homemade milkshakes/splashing in the pool/gardening/flower arrangements/outdoor play/coloring/Enjoying Harold and the purple crayon series/ It's been a lovely week.  I've been enjoying this time with our daughter before her little sister arrives. -We still have some time before I'm busy with nursing and changing diapers. I'm sure she knows just how much I love her and I want her to realize even when mommy is busy my love will never change for her.   With the warm weather, we have been spending our time outdoors. Activities take place on the back porch and there's been a lot of water play in the pool.  Our back porch seems to be the place for coloring and outdoor play for our daughter. -And possible naps for mom. :) I've been happy and enjoying life. Next week I'll be 24 weeks along in this pregnancy. We scheduled two hospital tours, so there's some progress being made. ...
