Crafting Fun: Fall Sign Redo from Dollar Tree

🍂 Fall is the perfect season to cozy up with a creative project, and what better way to celebrate than with a charming DIY sign makeover? I recently gave a Dollar Tree sign a festive autumn refresh, and I'm excited to share the step-by-step process so you can create your own seasonal decor on a budget! Quick video tutorial Materials Needed Sanding block Acrylic paint (your choice of fall colors) Paintbrushes (including a thin detail brush) Optional: Stamp designs (I used ones with little homes) Bronze paint (for stamping) Heating tool or time to air dry 1. Prep Your Sign and   Add Your Base Coat I started with a sign I found at my local Dollar Tree—it originally read “Home.” To give it a fresh canvas, I used a sanding block to gently remove as much of the previous lettering as possible. This helps the new paint adhere more effectively and provides a smoother finish. Once the surface was prepped, I applied my first coat of acrylic paint. Choose a color that fits your fall them...

DIY Fall Hanging Baskets: Seasonal Floral Decor

🍂 Fall is near, and it’s time to showcase pumpkins, rich floral arrangements, and cozy textures! One of my favorite ways to decorate for the season is by creating hanging baskets filled with artificial flowers and festive accents. Not only are these baskets budget-friendly (shoutout to the $2 basket from Michaels—thank you for the rewards!), but they also offer a beautiful way to reuse materials you may already have tucked away. In this post, I’ll guide you through three unique fall-themed hanging basket designs, each with its own personality and charm. Whether you’re decorating your front door, a cozy corner in your home, or gifting a handmade piece to a friend, these baskets are sure to bring autumn joy! Video tutorial Basket #1: Pinks & Pumpkin Charm For this first basket, I focused on deeper tones with a romantic twist. I used dark artificial pink roses, faux leaves, and darker green foliage, which gave the arrangement a rich, moody vibe. Materials: Hanging basket (mine wa...

Faux Fall Window Decor : Simple DIY Upcycle

Transform your home for fall with this quick and easy, budget-friendly DIY project! Create an upcycled faux fall window decor using simple materials to make your space cozy and stylish for the season. Join me as I repurpose one of my older crafts and turn it into a simple autumn faux window decoration. This is a straightforward project; you will only need a few materials. Quick Video Tutorial Materials Paint Paintbrush Decorative napkin Mod Podge Scissors Sanding block Optional faux leaves and mini bow Before applying paint, I had to sand down my faux window decoration from a previous craft. I started by removing the old paint using a sanding block to take off the chips. Then, I used a paintbrush to apply a new coat of cream-colored paint.  After that, I removed the second layer of the napkin and used scissors to cut out the design for the faux window. Next, I applied Mod Podge to the faux window using a paintbrush and placed the designs over it. I then applied another layer of Mod...

Easy DIY Dollar Tree Chalkboard Hanging Fall Sign

Learn how to make a budget-friendly chalkboard hanging fall sign using items from Dollar Tree for an easy DIY project to decorate for fall.  Hi everyone! Today I want to show you how to make a simple Autumn hanging decoration using a Dollar Tree hanging chalkboard design. I used my Cricut Maker for this craft to get more practice with the machine. Materials Flowers Paintbrush Hanging Chalkboard Acrylic paint Hot glue Floral cutter Vinyl paper (You can use vinyl stickers if you prefer) If you're using a cutting machine for your vinyl stickers, start by designing your letters and choosing a flower design for your decoration. I initially chose one flower design but later changed it before making any cuts. I decided to go with the words "Hello autumn."  Then, I placed the vinyl sheet on my cutting mat and let the machine cut. After that, I used a weeding tool to remove the flower and added the letters to the chalkboard using transfer tape.  Next, I painted the top of the wood...
