Simple ways to take care of yourself for when you are sick.

It's important to take care of your body when you're feeling under the weather. Here are some tips to help you recover: - Drink plenty of liquids, such as water, ginger tea, peppermint tea, lemon tea, or infused water/tea. Staying hydrated is essential. - Boost your immune system by consuming foods that are rich in nutrients. Vitamin C is particularly helpful, so try juicing fruits and vegetables. - Prepare a warm bath with Epsom salt and soak in it to relieve sore, achy muscles and relax. - Get some sunshine and fresh air by sitting outside for a few minutes. Breathe in the fresh air and soak up the sun's rays. - Prepare some soup, such as noodle soup with diced vegetables. Add some broth, carrots, celery, noodles, a can of diced tomatoes, garlic powder, paprika, and a dash of salt. - Rest your body by allowing yourself to just rest. Simple Refreshing Lemon Lip Scrub

Start by gently washing your lemon, using an organic fruit wash if possible. Then, use a grater to shave the rind off the lemon. Take a small bowl and mix the shaved lemon rinds with about a teaspoon of sugar.  Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and squeeze in a little lemon juice. Mix everything together and put it in a small jar with an airtight lid. A mini jam jar works well for this. Keep the jar in a cool place or in the refrigerator to make the application cool when you use it. When using the lip scrub, gently apply a small amount to your lips and rub it in, making sure to cover all dry spots.  After using the scrub, apply a lip balm to help with dryness. You can keep the lip scrub for about a week, but always make sure to store it in a cool place or in the refrigerator. This lip scrub is simple, refreshing, and smells amazing! DIY Lip Scrub

These scrubs are lip-smacking good! And they smell absolutely lovely. Perfect for these cold winter days. My lips need a little TLC. ** Recipes below ** Brown sugar vanilla lip scrub 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 1 tablespoon of sugar 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil (I used extra virgin olive oil)  1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract Mix all ingredients together, and place in the container. (I'm reusing my Bath and body works candle jars. They came with lids and what a perfect way to reuse these small jars Delicious Coffee sugar/vanilla lip scrub I used the same measurements from my brown sugar lip scrub. 2 tablespoons of coffee (I used whole bean, and our coffee grinder to grind up my coffee).  1 tablespoon of sugar 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract p.s. -You could always spice things up and add cinnamon to your scrub.
