10 things I want my daughters to know as they grow.

10 things I want my daughters to know as they grow 1. No matter what I will always love you Even when it might seem like I'm frustrated, sad, or just having a rough time.  I will always love you. 2. You're perfect just the way you are Always remember this. You are perfect just the way you are! 3.  Friends come and go I often tell myself that people are like seasons passing by.  You will realize that not all friends will stay.  As I grew up I realized that it wasn't about the number of friends, but the quality of friends. As time goes on you will learn this too. 4. Never feel rushed to heal Healing takes time. Never feel the need to rush the healing process. Take a deep breath, and gather your thoughts, but please never rush the healing process.  “Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.” ―  David Richo   5.   Always ask questions Big, small, or just because! Always ask questions. Asking questions, and get...

Around here.

I love new plants. I picked this little cutie up about a month ago.  I've been enjoying doing laundry in the evening. This space is normally lit up with a bigger light, but I've been enjoying this little lamp lately. Pugs and kisses. My oldest daughter just loves these pajamas. And honestly, I can't blame her.  We put out a little Valentine's decor.  I normally keep it simple. And if you haven't yet checked out my latest post on simple Valentine's crafts, click the link below. DIY Valentine frame art and Love sign I took an old candle jar, a candle, and some coffee beans.  Just a little something for over the fireplace.  A simple wreath for a simple space. We feel blessed with each day that passes. Life is truly beautiful. May you all continue to be blessed. Much love. ♡ Stephanie

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. It's a new year and I'm wishing you all the best. May you all go on new adventures, make new friends, and continue to have many more blessings come your way.  I'm excited about this new year. This year I'd like to go on new adventures, be more in the moment, work on having more patience, and create a space that is full of beauty, and inspiration. I want to take more pictures of my kids as they grow with each passing day. I've realized that life passes us by so quickly and we must enjoy this current moment.  There is so much beauty around us and we must take the time to notice it, be still, and be in the moment. I'm leaving behind sad moments that truly left me feeling complete down, shaking off those negative vibes, and I'm filling my daily cup with positive, loving, caring vibes. -Honestly, we all should! So please feel free and come along with me on this journey.  What are your plans f...

Here and there. -Life, thoughts, and more.

It's amazing how fast time has flown by this year. The cold weather is settling in, and we must wrap up warmly as our children go out trick-or-treating tonight. Last week we attended a neighborhood trunk or treat, but my husband wasn't happy about the long queues, so we had to rush. Tonight, we're hoping to move quickly as our two trick-or-treaters make their rounds. I've had to keep the heat on all day due to the cold weather. What's the weather like where you are? We've finally almost completed the roof repair after the big hailstorm a few months ago, although it took longer than anticipated. My brother recently took the Ancestry DNA test, and we were surprised by the results. We have a wide range of ethnicities besides Asian, which is wonderful to discover. Thanksgiving is coming up, and I can't wait to share the wonderful experience of preparing the food with some wonderful helpers. This year, I'm particularly grateful for my wonderful family. We...

All things.

We just finished up with our summer reading. Trips to the library, cool prizes, and a lot of fun events. Daily Thunderstorms this week. -Some are good, and some have caused flooding and other major damages. About a month or so ago, we had a major hailstorm that caused damage around town and to our home.  My flowers have daily visitors. Between the bees and hummingbirds, my garden has been getting much-needed love. I'm finding so much enjoyment in moving my body daily. It's been a while since I started my workout routine, and it just feels so nice to move daily. It has definitely become a habit. I'm looking forward to Autumn. Warm drinks, falling leaves, and comfy light sweaters.- I truly love fall weather. My husband has been roasting our coffee beans, and I really look forward to a cup of coffee in the mornings. I love the show, This Is Us. If you haven't heard of it, look it up and watch a trailer for it. Ah, so good! We re-seeded our lawn this year,...

Thankful.

I am here. I am loved. I am free. 💗💗💗 Today is a new day and the Lord is my rock.  He's given me this day to inspire, help, learn, and love others. For this...I am thankful. Today I breathe in new air and my heart beats with excitement.  My girls inspire me to be the best mother I could possibly be to them. Their love is so much more than I ever imagined. They lift me up and bring daily joy, laughter, and happiness to my heart. For this...I am thankful. My husband...my love, almost 14 years of marriage, and still he amazes me. I love that he loves me for ME. He challenges me, inspires me, and believes in my dreams. For this...I am thankful. My days are long. I'm not perfect. And I often question my own abilities.  There's always a challenge. But, I stop and remind myself that I am only human. My heart continues to beat and I have so much love to share.  I wish you all well. May your days be filled with great joy...

There will be days..

There are times when you feel like nothing is going right and you're just not yourself. But even in those moments, you manage to put on a smile and keep moving forward. You might feel exhausted, unwell, perplexed, or powerless, but you persevere. Unfortunately, we recently received the devastating news that our wonderful friend passed away at the young age of 31. It was a tragic event and I cannot express the emotions that I felt upon hearing the news. We shared wonderful memories together and the last time we spoke was shortly after the birth of our second daughter in September 2015. Despite the grief, I try to focus on the wonderful moments we share. She was a kind-hearted person, an amazing mother to three wonderful boys, and always ready to lend a helping hand. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know such a wonderful person. There will be times when life seems to make no sense, but eventually, acceptance of its unpredictability sets in. I am extremely grateful for ...

A joyful heart. Thankful

Lately, I'm approaching things differently. -With a joyful heart. I'm finding peace in simple things. These past few days have been busy.- But what a difference it makes when you approach things with a joyful heart. I'm learning to listen more before I speak. Handle things in a more loving approach. My days are more positive. I am able and capable of seeing things in a different light. - With a joyful heart. I'm happier and more cheerful and it's amazing finding peace in simple everyday things. On Thanksgiving we cooked, spending most of our time in the kitchen, together -which honestly in our home we do a lot of. -It was wonderful. We asked our oldest daughter what she was most thankful for. Of course, she said her family. At that moment, I looked around and saw, a baby sleeping peacefully, my husband preparing our turkey, and our oldest in the kitchen with her apron and hat on.- I  feel so blessed and beyond thankful. - We are a...

Morning.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.  - Marcus Aurelius Morning. Home. Peaceful. Happy. Together. Playful. Baking.  Laundry. Bonding. Dancing. I absolutely love morning time. This morning... I woke up feeling refreshed, even after an early morning nursing session. Opening up each window and making myself a hot drink. I begin a load of laundry and set out my ingredients for baking. The little ones are still sleeping.  During this time, I also set out some learning materials for our oldest. Music, books, puppets, and a few other things she enjoys. She's finally up. I've managed to get a lot done. The baby is still sleeping. We take this time and enjoy our time together. This morning has treated us well.
