Quiet, peaceful days

This particular day, it was quiet. The weather was cool and the sun hid behind the clouds. This day was great for sitting out at the park. It was a very quiet, peaceful outing. We made our way out to the park. -Kids were playing soccer, and volleyball and adults were grilling under the gazebo.  We sat under a tree and set our blanket up. Our daughter ran in circles, exploring and waving at other children. Eventually, she ran around and played tag with this little boy off in the distance. My husband joined them.  They built castles and forts in the sand. I stayed back. Relaxing and catching up on some reading. It was nice. I took my sandals off. What a relief, for my pregnant feet. Surprisingly they aren't so swollen, just really uncomfortable these days. After reading, I had time to reflect on a few things. Clearing my thoughts and taking in the fresh air.-It was so peaceful. Cool breezy evening..

Yesterday I had a long visit at the dental office. I dread those shots they give. I had work done on a cracked tooth. Afterwards, all I wanted to do was relax! Once we got home, we made sure to enjoy the evening. The weather has been absolutely lovely these past few days. We enjoyed a nice evening out on the back porch. We grilled, enjoyed the beautiful sky as the sun set, and blew some bubbles for our little sweet one. Oh, and before I forget, we enjoyed some sweet watermelon. Boy, it was delicious! (I even froze a few pieces and made watermelon slushies later on in the evening. Our evening was so lovely. I can't wait for this spring weather to stay. Last night actually made me think about cool breezy summer nights. (You know the nights you sit out, and kick back and relax) I'm so excited for more nights like this. :)          The sky was beautiful. {Sitting out enjoying a lovely evening} {Yum, sweet watermelon}

Baking, Jewelry making, play-doh fun & more..(Our weekend)

  This weekend we made sure to enjoy, and do things around the house. How was your weekend?! I enjoy the times I get to spend with my family, just being able to be at home with everyone makes me so happy. It's always such a lovely time. I love weekends.   This weekend, I had a sweet tooth... I ended up baking some Chocolate chip cookies. They sure did hit the spot! ;)   My daughter and I  had fun playing with Play-Doh!       I finally bought some new running shoes from REI, so over the weekend I picked a new issue of Women's Running magazine. {I feel great after a nice run}      I worked on making a pair of earrings and a necklace.       Rock and glass painting, was so much fun.         And we are getting closer to finishing our daughters' art easel. Just a few more coats of paint!       ...
