Hello December.

“December, being the last month of the year, cannot help but make us think of what is to come.”  ―  Fennel Hudson,  A Meaningful Life - Fennel's Journal - No. 1 Hello December. It's so nice to have you here. The days are cold, but our hearts are warm. We're filled with so much love, and there's so much to be thankful for. What are you most thankful for? We spend our days busy as can be, but when we have time to finally take it all in we continue to count our blessings. This year was an eventful year.- One with challenges, changes, and new adventures.  Somehow through all the chaos, we made it! Isn't it amazing how life can be tough at times, but in the end, we pull through?   I hope that December is treating you all well. May you experience joy, love, and peace.  May your days be merry and bright. ♡♡

Lately. September days...

Lately, The cooler weather has arrived. Today our high was in the '60s.  I've made two recent trips to pick up my Pumpkin spice latte. And if you haven't tried the pumpkin scone, you seriously have to as soon as possible. The leaves are slowly changing color and we're finding more scattered over our lawn. I love this change. I'm currently burning my apple spice candle. It smells like I just baked an apple pie. Speaking of apples, I recently made some bloomin' apples . They were so delicious. The girls were asleep and my husband and I enjoyed this time together. We sat and enjoyed every last bite.  Our oldest daughter is doing very well in school.  She loves her schedule and the fact that she is home with me. Her teacher recently moved her up to first-grade math. She tested out of kindergarten math and now we are working with her teacher on other subjects. She's ahead for kindergarten and her teacher has notice...

Lately.-Our days. (Peaceful moment)

Paper bracelet making. We used gems, sparkles, glitter, markers, scissors, and glue.  - My oldest absolutely loved them. I think she may have had more fun designing them.  My oldest daughter just started Kindergarten.  She is attending an online academy. I'm still teaching her from home, but this way she will still have a main teacher who will grade her work and live sessions with other students in her class. She will also attend field trips and much more! I'll continue to add in our own lessons and curriculum.  This morning we explored outdoors. This was for one of her science lessons. She observed a few lady bugs, a grasshopper and we talked about her five senses. We're excited to see how this school year goes.  Watching a quick introduction for a lesson.   Art lesson. - Learning about the different elements of shape. Straight line, curvy line, angle line, circles and dots. - We've gone over this during her preschool...

Here we are.

So here we are.- Busy days, sleepless nights, headaches, and a few other things in between. A new week and the little one is still teething. Our weekend was long. Truthfully I felt like a zombie and wanted nothing more than to sleep, sleep and sleep some more. Of course, that didn't happen! But hey it's life and I'm okay with that. Our little one ran a slight fever. She's teething and she's a bit fussy and seems to only want mama. So yes, I'm tired and achy and I may be getting a little fussy as well. -My coffee is currently decaf and doesn't do much for me. But a hot shower seems to help quite a bit. My eyes are slightly red and I've been experiencing headaches. I haven't been as hydrated as I should be. Today I've been making sure to drink more water and maintain my sanity. I was able to make it through lessons with my oldest. She sat after lessons were done and worked on a nice fall collage. Paper clippings and leaf punch-outs took ov...

Days go by...

♥ My garden continues to thrive.  ♥ Peppers are on the way. --I'll add them to sandwiches, salads, and more!  ♥ Baby is now 11 months. Oh my! She's growing so fast. I'm still nursing and I am so very thankful. She's been enjoying some yogurt topped with pureed peaches. --Ah, she's in love.  ♥ New recipes. Ah, yes I enjoy baking. Recently made a batch of these yummy banana-peanut butter cookies.   ♥  They were absolutely delicious.  ♥ Our oldest daughter really enjoys coloring. I enjoy that time as well. I sit and watch her color so peacefully. --She doesn't know this, but when I watch her...I often think about all the amazing things she'll do when she's older. I'm already so amazed by her.  ♥ Block building is very popular in our home. Our littlest one is starting to enjoy this time building blocks with her sister.

There will be days..

There are times when you feel like nothing is going right and you're just not yourself. But even in those moments, you manage to put on a smile and keep moving forward. You might feel exhausted, unwell, perplexed, or powerless, but you persevere. Unfortunately, we recently received the devastating news that our wonderful friend passed away at the young age of 31. It was a tragic event and I cannot express the emotions that I felt upon hearing the news. We shared wonderful memories together and the last time we spoke was shortly after the birth of our second daughter in September 2015. Despite the grief, I try to focus on the wonderful moments we share. She was a kind-hearted person, an amazing mother to three wonderful boys, and always ready to lend a helping hand. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know such a wonderful person. There will be times when life seems to make no sense, but eventually, acceptance of its unpredictability sets in. I am extremely grateful for ...

Life lately. Treating us well.

“What day is it?" It's today," squeaked Piglet. My favorite day," said Pooh.”  ―  A.A. Milne Lately, life has treated us well. On the Fourth of July, we made our way to the park. There was live music, food, and beautiful fireworks filled the night sky.  Lately, the sunsets have been beautiful. With this heat, I normally make my way outdoors in the evening.  -Watering, pruning, and happy to see new plant/vegetable growth in my garden.  I haven't baked much lately. My sweet tooth comes and goes. Recently my husband made some fresh salsa. He added in cilantro, habanero, jalapeno, lime, and a few other spices. It's a quick snack. A snack that goes well with a glass of sweet tea.  Lately, I've been kicking my feet up and relaxing more. My pregnant body is constantly changing. I'm no longer able to put off going to the restroom while we are out and about. This week I'm entering 30 weeks. Goodnes...

May lately. -Snapshots

Gardening/grilling/painting/relaxing/playing/exploring/sunshine/laughter/together/enjoying May has arrived and we're thrilled. With all that has happened, our truck needing a new transmission and my old camera breaking, we have been fortunate to get things under control. Our truck is currently in the process of being worked on and I was able to purchase a new camera.  Lately, we have enjoyed more simple things. Things aren't as hectic and everyone is smiling. -That of course is always a good thing. I enjoy my time out gardening and my daughter enjoys helping with the flowers. Evenings are spent out on the back porch.-Grilling and catching up over refreshing drinks.  Indoors we enjoy painting, singing, baking, building blocks, and knocking them down. -We all have a good time! Baby girl #2 has been kicking, especially at night. I enjoy these moments. Her sister sings to her and shares her day with her. I can't help b...
