Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment...

March, 2015...
We arrived at our local library.
My oldest daughter was happy to see the magic show.
They had birds, bunnies and a few other things for the kids to enjoy.

What was your peaceful moment for this week?

Each Thursday, I'll be posting a photo taken during a peaceful moment.

This month: Snapshots

Soft yellow.

Morning coffee.

Coin sorting with my oldest.

Bench building.

Ah, spring. :)

Magnets and chalk.

Tiny green house.

This month has treated us well.
It wasn't as busy compared to the previous month.
We've managed to get a few projects done. We are still in the process of working on our front porch.
Soon I'll add some patio lights on the back porch. I'm looking forward to spending more time outdoors and us firing up the grill.- I must admit this is one of my favorite times.

How about you? How has this month treated you?

Until next time...
I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful spring weather.

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment...
Morning came...
my 5 year old and I sat together and created these simple, fun, sparkling sun catchers.
It was definitely a wonderful way to start our morning.

Review: E- Hydrate protein on the go.

Review: E-Hydrate protein on the go.

I was thrilled when I was  contacted by Moms meet to do a review for a product for  E-hydrate.
E-hydrate offers natural nutrition through protein drinks and  kids'/adult hydration drink mixes. Their mission is to provide  natural nutritious products that taste great with less sugar. This product is  available for purchase at Target.

The product which I was contacted to try was the E-hydrate natural protein on the go.

My package included:

-1 chocolate natural protein on the go pouch
-1 vanilla natural protein on the go pouch
-1 kids cinnamon roll natural protein on the go pouch
-1 kids chocolate natural protein on the go pouch
-1 cool e-hydrate t-shirt with their logo
-1 instruction sheet on how to  prepare the on the go protein drink
- Adult/kids drink mixes were also included.

My first initial thoughts on this product...

I liked how simple the packaging was. The protein is already prepared in the package.  It is easier to just grab it and not have to measure out the scoop or the amount of water/milk to add because the powder is already in and you just add water up to the fill line. All you do is twist off your cap, add water to the fill line and give it a nice shake.

This product is perfect to have an extra one in your gym locker for times when you're running on time and haven't prepared your shaker bottle. And for us women it would come in handy just having one available in our purse.  It also works when space is premium, like if you don't have storage on your bicycle you might just wrap it around the handle bar with a rubber brand.

Also as mentioned previously, this product is available now at Target. - I really like that it is available at a store that I pretty much shop at on a regular basis. Not having to make a separate trip to a local health/fitness store definitely saves on time.  As far as flavors go, I really enjoyed the chocolate over the vanilla. My 5 year old actually enjoyed the cinnamon roll
flavor over the chocolate.

Would I recommend this product...

I would recommend this product if you are looking for a quick solution for your daily protein.
When compared to other products I would say it is a little better than most low grade protein. With this product I did not notice any grainy texture. -And for most, this is definitely a plus.

What I didn't like about the product was how the Stevia left a very noticeable after taste. I've never been one to enjoy the after taste of certain sugars and that was one thing that really stood out to me. If you normally use this sugar you shouldn't have any issues with taste.

Now even though it was not grainy I did find it difficult to get all the clumps out.  Normally I (and anyone else that I know that is serious about fitness) use a blender bottle of some kind that aides with the mixing.  Also I noticed it was easier to use our water machine when pouring the water into the pouch.
If you already have a particular protein you use as your go to, I'd say at least give this one a try. This way you can compare and see which works best for you. As  for me I'm sure I'll be sticking to my protein that I've been using for a while now. I'm still very happy that I was given this opportunity to try out this product.

So if you are wanting a natural, quick solution for your daily protein I'd  say give this product a try.
Leave me a comment below and let me know what your on the go drink is!

Peaceful moment.

This peaceful moment...
This week...
The clouds moved in.
The air was cool.
There was thunder and suddenly the rain came down.
I brewed a cup of coffee and sat just for a few.
My girls were napping and at this very moment I felt content.-At peace.
Just here in this moment.- It was exactly what I  needed.

What was your peaceful moment for this week?

Around here.

Around here...

We just celebrated our oldest daughter turning five last week. -This time she had a few special requests. We ordered her a princess cake, took her bowling and ate breakfast at Ihop. - These were just a few things she requested.

I still can't believe that she's five. - She's excited for new adventures. We just finished her enrollment in school last week. I'll still be homeschooling her, but she will also be attending a local virtual school.- This way she will still have teachers and social events to attend with other students. I like to think of it as having the best of both worlds. I'll be her learning coach through the process.

My husband has taken on a project with our front railing. He's been finishing up with the staining and last minute fixtures for it. It's really coming together. I've been sprucing a few things up around our home. - Making things a bit cozier outdoors. We're hoping to have a few more things done before summer arrives. We've been keeping an eye out for a double hammock. We found a few and now we just have to narrow it down to one.

I'll start planting some vegetables in the upcoming weeks. I'll plant a few herbs, peppers and tomatoes. I normally keep it simple. My husband found a coffee plant while we were out shopping at a local craft store. We planted the seeds and now we just wait to see if and when it will start growing. - He's a big coffee drinker. He really enjoys roasting his own coffee beans.

I've been keeping up with my workouts and I feel great! I've also been trying to catch up on sleep. I find it difficult to fall asleep at night, but I'm noticing if I eliminate my use of electronics in the bedroom it really does help.

We still take our trips to the library and attend special events.

Our littlest one is all about exploring. She enjoys coloring and painting so much.  She really looks up to her big sister.

So here we are...
Life has been treating us well and even when we are busy we take time and count our blessings.

How are you spending your days lately?
