Welcome Autumn

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
― Lauren DeStefano, Wither

Well hello, sweet Autumn, I'm so thrilled you have arrived. It's been a little on the chilly side late at night, and early morning. The air is crisp, the smell of rain lingers, and I think I'm in love with having cooler days. This weekend we enjoyed chasing our daughter around, her laugh is contagious-I absolutely love her sweet, and gentle giggle. She's feeling so much better, and so we have been enjoying having her back to her old self. (Thank you for all your kind words while my daughter was recovering from a pretty nasty cold). I appreciate it so much! I finally got around to taking out some of my Fall decorations. I haven't got around to putting all of them up, but I figure I will soon.  Lately, I've been burning a few candles-Apple spice and warm pumpkin. I love how it fills the house each evening, I just feel so at home.

We ended the weekend by taking our daughter to two parks. It was nice to get out and enjoy some play time, and fresh air. We all had a great time. After the park, we headed home and my husband made us some homemade chicken potpies. It was perfect, especially with the rainy weather. We ended our night with my husband singing to our daughter (Disney's Princess tea party sing-a-long) while we enjoyed some baked pumpkin cookies. It was a perfect end to a beautiful weekend.
How did you spend your weekend?
