Life lately. Treating us well.

“What day is it?"
It's today," squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day," said Pooh.”
― A.A. Milne

Lately, life has treated us well. On the Fourth of July, we made our way to the park. There was live music, food, and beautiful fireworks filled the night sky.

Lately, the sunsets have been beautiful. With this heat, I normally make my way outdoors in the evening.
-Watering, pruning, and happy to see new plant/vegetable growth in my garden.

I haven't baked much lately. My sweet tooth comes and goes. Recently my husband made some fresh salsa. He added in cilantro, habanero, jalapeno, lime, and a few other spices. It's a quick snack. A snack that goes well with a glass of sweet tea.

Lately, I've been kicking my feet up and relaxing more. My pregnant body is constantly changing. I'm no longer able to put off going to the restroom while we are out and about. This week I'm entering 30 weeks. Goodness, where does the time go?!

We had our last interview with a doula this weekend. The interview went very well. This time around we are more knowledgeable and want a completely different birth experience. One that is more natural. I want to be able to move around, and sit up and if  I choose to stand in a hot shower. I want to be able to make those choices. I'm happy to say we have chosen a doula that will assist us in the hospital.  If you're not sure what a doula is and would like to know more click this link http://www.dona.org/mothers/ :)

I hope life is treating you all well.

Our Adventures.-The Denver Art Museum

We decided to take a day trip to explore the downtown Denver area. On this particular day, my husband and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and wanted to have a mini date that included time with the kids as well. Our adventure started with us eating at the Cheesecake Factory. We wanted to make sure our tummies were full before we took on this day trip. The food was amazing, and we just really enjoyed this time together.  The weather wasn't so cold, but we still made sure to bundle up in warm coats. The Denver Art Museum is located in the Civic Center of downtown Denver. I also learned that this museum is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast, and Chicago. -We learn something new each day. This was actually our first time visiting the art museum.  During our visit, we viewed some beautiful and very creative pieces of art.  This museum has 70,000 objects in the museum's collection. There are approximately 18,000 in the Nativ...

Simple Diy Autumn Floral Arrangement

This simple Autumn floral arrangement takes just a few materials.  And is a beautiful addition to any space!  Materials needed 1 metal pitcher -The metal pitcher that I am using was purchased at Target and was $3. 1 lighted leaf garland - I purchased this lighted leaf garland at my local Michael's Store It takes two double A batteries. 1  can of spray paint I wanted to add some color to my pitcher. For my pitcher, I am using spray paint purchased at my local Michael's store. The color is Espresso.
