March 2, 2014- Welcome, and yes that's snow.
Preparing cranberry lemon loaf.
Baking, peach cobbler.
On the first day of March, fog filled the sky as flurries came down. -It was a cold day.
We bundled up hats, scarves, coats, and mittens. We ran a few errands around town.-Grocery shopping, tire shop,
and a quick coffee run at Starbucks. Cold, but indeed a lovely day spent with
my family. It's hard to believe that it is already March.
I’m ready for spring.-Gardening, farmer's
market strolls in the park, and so much more to enjoy with my family. I've
started planning my garden for this year. I'll keep it simple. Some herbs,
tomatoes, peppers, chives, maybe I'll add in a few plants I didn't grow last
year. I'm hoping that my front flowerbed will be just as colorful as last
year. -It brought many hummingbirds, and bumble bees over for a visit.
At the end of February, I had my second doctor's
visit. Our daughter was excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. So many memories
of my first pregnancy came back to me. That day I also received a package in
the mail. My mother sent out a few packages of the chewy ginger candy.
(Thank you Jennifer for reminding me about the chewy ginger). It has
definitely helped with my morning sickness.
So February treated us well. No
complaints, okay maybe just the fact that all my energy was gone that month.
I'm hoping March is even better. More hikes, warmer temps, and us
returning back to our old schedule. Storytime at the library during the week
and us enjoying even more time as a family. -I always enjoy the time we spend
together. I hope this month brings you all love and so much happiness.
Welcome new readers! I'm so happy to have
you all here.
I'm so glad the ginger candy is helping you. I thought it was pretty helpful too. We only had rain down here but there was snow at higher elevations. I saw the news about the pile-up on I-25 near Denver, yikes. I'm glad winter is winding down. Cranberry-lemon loaf sounds delicious!
