Quiet, peaceful days

This particular day, it was quiet. The weather was cool and the sun hid behind the clouds. This day was great for sitting out at the park. It was a very quiet, peaceful outing. We made our way out to the park. -Kids were playing soccer, and volleyball and adults were grilling under the gazebo.  We sat under a tree and set our blanket up. Our daughter ran in circles, exploring and waving at other children. Eventually, she ran around and played tag with this little boy off in the distance. My husband joined them.  They built castles and forts in the sand. I stayed back. Relaxing and catching up on some reading. It was nice. I took my sandals off. What a relief, for my pregnant feet. Surprisingly they aren't so swollen, just really uncomfortable these days. After reading, I had time to reflect on a few things. Clearing my thoughts and taking in the fresh air.-It was so peaceful. Days like this come and go. When we are able to enjoy days li

Encouraging Thoughts For Your Day.

Remember... Live your life to the fullest.  Be a shoulder to lean on. Learn to love and experience life. Tell your children daily- how much you love them .-They grow so fast. In life, there will be disappointments and letdowns. But remember to give it all you got.  Remember that you are unique and one of a kind.  Remember that hugs feel good, so why not hug a little longer? A hug changes everything. Remember... How much you are truly loved. -Yes you! You're loved by so many.  When you start to doubt things, remember positive thoughts. You'll be amazed at how quickly your thoughts can change.  Remember to smile, it looks good on you! Take trips- long trips, short trips. Just enjoy those moments on the road.  Remember that it's hard to change some people.- Sometimes it's best to love some people from a distance. It doesn't mean giving up on them, give them a little space.  Some things can be challenging but when you have the ri

July. Life lately

We spend our time together... I'm happy when we're all together, enjoying simple conversation and laughter. Its summer...I'm pregnant, hot, and sore these days. Still trying to stay positive through it all. I'm enjoying, sweet decaf tea, blended smoothies, and iced decaf coffee. I'm content and it cools me down. We're currently going over a series of preschool workbooks. - But still... building blocks, coloring, and other hands-on activities are what our daughter enjoys the most. These days, I'm enjoying my exercise ball. Sitting, relaxing, or just swaying my hips from side to side.- Brings so much relief to this discomfort I am now experiencing. We got a glimpse of our little one a few days back. She was moving and grooving all over the place.  It's been raining these past few days.- I'm talking pouring, flooding, kind of rain. So, of course, we splashed in puddles and danced in the rain.-It was absolu

Two good scents- Review & giveaway

(Review and giveaway)- Two Good Scents  Sugar Scrubs These days I'm feeling very pregnant. So when the chance comes along to pamper myself, I'm definitely up for it. We can all use some pampering from time to time. :) I was contacted by Nancy over at http://www.twogoodscents.com/ . She kindly offered to send me some of her products in exchange for a fair review of the items I get. No other compensation was provided for this review.  I received my products in a padded envelope stuffed with decorative tissue paper.  The containers were well padded to protect the plastic containers.  After opening up the package I took out the sealed jars which had a professional look along with cute labels.  I opened each of them, one at a time.  My initial reactions were to the scents themselves of the scrubs.  My personal favorite was the blossom scrub which was reminiscent of a nice clean soft flowery soap bar.  The others I received were coffee mocha (which brought

Life lately. Treating us well.

“What day is it?" It's today," squeaked Piglet. My favorite day," said Pooh.”  ―  A.A. Milne Lately, life has treated us well. On the Fourth of July, we made our way to the park. There was live music, food, and beautiful fireworks filled the night sky.  Lately, the sunsets have been beautiful. With this heat, I normally make my way outdoors in the evening.  -Watering, pruning, and happy to see new plant/vegetable growth in my garden.  I haven't baked much lately. My sweet tooth comes and goes. Recently my husband made some fresh salsa. He added in cilantro, habanero, jalapeno, lime, and a few other spices. It's a quick snack. A snack that goes well with a glass of sweet tea.  Lately, I've been kicking my feet up and relaxing more. My pregnant body is constantly changing. I'm no longer able to put off going to the restroom while we are out and about. This week I'm entering 30 weeks. Goodnes

A day at the library.

“Come with me,' Mom says. To the library.  Books and summertime  go together." ―  Lisa Schroeder ,  I Heart You, You Haunt Me And crafts of course! We've been spending our time at our local library. It's been filled with reading, crafts, and lots of fun presentations. We recently met a miniature horse. The children gathered around giggling and smiling, -ready to meet this miniature cutie!  They set up stations around the library. Some were combing, petting, and feeding the horse. Others are taking turns with the lasso station.  They even set up an area for photos. It was a wonderful experience for all.  Inside, we worked on crafts. Glue, paper, jewels, markers- it sure was fun.  Do you visit your local library often?  What events do they offer at yours? :)
