Our week.

This week: -We had a special play date. Playtime and a Halloween craft are included. My oldest was thrilled to have her friend over. They played, worked on a craft, and ate some delicious blueberry muffins made by my friend. -Worked on decorating our pumpkins. This year instead of carving pumpkins we decorated one and dressed up the other.  It was such a fun time. -Headed to the library. We checked out some books and attended storytime. My oldest danced and played with a few other kids. I take this time and chit-chat with a few other moms. -Ah, it's nice. -We made pumpkin cookies. -Of course, we did, it's fall time! ;)  -I purchased a few more cloth inserts for my cloth diapers. -So far I am absolutely loving this whole cloth diaper experience. - I'll have to post more about it soon!  -Found a mom and baby yoga video on youtube.-  Mum &Baby Yoga . Very cute video. My little one seemed to enjoy the gentle movem

Autumn- Tea and coffee for two

I really enjoy this time of the year. The air is cool and sweaters are being worn. I've started to gather mittens and scarves. Preparing us for colder weather. I enjoy making apple cider and having it go through the day in the slow cooker. -It smells amazing! We enjoy walks out, a gentle breeze in the air, and the sound of the leaves gently falling to the ground. -We're all very happy and content these days.  I just recently had the pleasure to enjoy a tea/coffee date with our oldest daughter. Of course, it was pretend play. She wanted to be just like mommy and daddy and use the real stuff. I took a used k-cup and cut open the top. We  Used the coffee grinds from that and created our own brew system. Meanwhile, we brewed some tea. I really enjoy playtime with her. We take this time to explore, talk and spend that quality mommy/daughter time together.  As always our time spent together was wonderful.- I absolutely enjoy times like this. How are you spending your

Morning.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.  - Marcus Aurelius Morning. Home. Peaceful. Happy. Together. Playful. Baking.  Laundry. Bonding. Dancing. I absolutely love morning time. This morning... I woke up feeling refreshed, even after an early morning nursing session. Opening up each window and making myself a hot drink. I begin a load of laundry and set out my ingredients for baking. The little ones are still sleeping.  During this time, I also set out some learning materials for our oldest. Music, books, puppets, and a few other things she enjoys. She's finally up. I've managed to get a lot done. The baby is still sleeping. We take this time and enjoy our time together. This morning has treated us well.

Little hands. Making Green Goo

Our daughter absolutely loves getting hands-on and trying out new things. We recently made ourselves some green goo. - Boy was it messy and tons of fun. What you need to make your goo: 1/2 cup of water 1 cup of cornstarch Food coloring (color of your choice) 1 bowl It's pretty simple, add your cornstarch to your bowl and then slowly pour your water into the bowl. Add a few drops of food coloring- using your hands mix the mixture together.- This part is tons of fun.- Get into it! Our daughter allowed the mixture to go between her fingers. She squished it together and also rubbed it between her fingers. Of course, don't forget to ask your little one a few questions about the mixture. Questions asked: What will happen when the cornstarch is added to the water? Will it thicken up? Become solid? Is the mixture thick, gooey, or slippery? Have fun!

Doing well.

We're all doing well. Our days are less hectic and we are slowly getting back to our schedule. I'm enjoying the cooler weather. Fall weather is absolutely lovely here in Colorado. Lately, the air is fresh and I'm enjoying the beautiful colors of fall. - It's so beautiful out. We are enjoying baked goodies.  Preparing, warm baked oatmeal and apple crisp. My mother was out for a short visit. -It was nice having her. She prepared a few dishes for us. During her stay, we would all sit around and chit-chat. Our oldest really enjoyed time with grandma.  Lately, I've been experimenting with some new cloth diapers we recently purchased. I've done all my research on- detergents, cloth-safe diaper creams, and much more. So far it's pretty simple. -I think I've got the hang of it!  Simple days, and a lot of baby-wearing- make things simple and I seem to get a lot done when doing this. And of course, I absolutely love the b

Sweet baby.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She   never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. a mother is something absolutely new. ~Rajneesh e She's here! We're so thrilled to welcome our sweet baby love into this world. She arrived on September 16, 2014.  With the amazing support of my husband and doula, I was able to accomplish my natural birth goals. I'm so thankful for the experience and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity.  Lately, we have enjoyed our days embracing our new bundle of joy. Her big sister has been such a great little helper. She enjoys kissing, holding, and cuddling with her baby sister. - Sometimes I just sit and watch her stare at her little sister. - It's such a beautiful moment.  So we're all enjoying, embracing, and absolutely loving these moments spent together.  Right now we're all still adjusting to a new schedule. - Between nursing, diapers,
