The Anti-Breakage solution: Review on Desert Essence shampoo and conditioner/promo code included

I was contacted by Mom's meet to try and review Desert Essence shampoo and conditioner.
I'm always trying new hair products and seeing what works best for my hair. With all of the styling that I do with my hair, I have noticed that I do have a little breakage and of course, I was thrilled when I was chosen to try these products out. In this post, I'll be reviewing this product and I'll also give my honest feedback as well. Happy reading!

*DisclaimerI was allowed to try out this product. This product was given to me for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and give my honest opinion on this product. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

My thoughts on the products

I'd like to start off with how I just loved how my package arrived and everything was put together so well.
My family and I already use other products made by Desert Essence and we just love them! One of my favorite products from them that I currently use is their Tea Tree oil and Neem toothpaste.

I used each product for a week so that I could give it some time and actually see how it worked. I liked how the scent for both shampoo and conditioner was not overwhelming.
The shampoo lathered evenly through my hair. You can use just a quarter-sized amount of the products, but to be honest I needed just a little more since my hair is thick.

With my hair being thick I really need a conditioner that helps with detangling and deep conditioning. The conditioner didn't seem to give me a soft feel to my hair like I normally get with other products. I certainly noticed that it did help my hair with detangling. As far as smoothing out my hair it really didn't do much of that...
It wasn't until I used another product that was included in the package that they sent me. It was the Desert Essence Anti-Breakage Hair Mask.  This product actually helped with the deep condition. It was exactly what I needed!
I didn't leave the hair mask on for the recommended time they suggest which is 20-30 mins but was still able to feel an incredible softness to my hair after using this product.  And I'm sure if I had used the shower cap that would have provided even more softness to my hair.

After using the products I was able to style my hair like I normally do and go on with my day. I've noticed that after a week of using this product, it may have reduced some of the breakages I was experiencing. My hair remains soft and healthy. I really enjoyed trying out these natural hair products.
If you are in the market for more natural hair care products that are better for you and our planet, I'd definitely see about trying these products!

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...
