The Crazy Little Lovebirds Link Party 85

Welcome to The Crazy Little Love Birds Link Party #85! This party provides a platform for sharing inspiring content such as recipes, family-friendly blog posts, crafts, home decor, and other uplifting ideas.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Do you have a garden or flowers blooming around your home? This week, my tulips have bloomed, and my clematis vines are starting to come back as well. I might need to help three of my vines by training them so they can cover the trellis they are currently growing on. I'm looking forward to the weekend! Next week, we will be leaving for a short trip. The party will continue! I enjoy every post shared here, and I want to thank you all for being part of this celebration. Happy Friday! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. Are those your tulips in the photo? So unusual and so beautiful! The rabbits ate mine down before they had a chance to bloom. Sigh. Thanks for hosting the linkup!

    1. Lisa, these are Tulipa agenensis. They are bicoloured and more vibrant. They are also known as sun's-eye tulips. I purchased the bulbs at my local Lowe's store. I hadn't seen anything like it before! Thank you for joining us here.

  2. LOVE your tulips! I have some that I think don't get enough water (hello, Colorado! ha) and I need to figure something out. I LOVE spring flowers. :) Thank you for hosting! I'm sharing 3, 4, and 5 today, and I'm looking forward to visiting other posts here! Happy weekend.

    1. Jennifer, thank you! Luckily, the tulips do pretty well in a well-drained area when planted and don't need much water. You are right, though; Colorado could use some rain. To be honest, I was surprised they did well because my front tulips did not come back and did not bloom the same as the ones in my backyard. I must have planted the bulbs incorrectly. Thank you for joining us and being part of the party. Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. I love tulips. Between the bunnies attacking them last year and crazy spring weather I'm thinking I have to replant. I do so love the colors.

    1. They are so pretty and add a special touch to any garden. That's unfortunate to hear about the bunnies eating your tulips. Hopefully, you can replant and have beautiful blooms soon. We were dealing with bunnies when we first moved in; now we deal with deer. Thank you for joining the party. Have a wonderful Easter.

  6. Thanks for the party, Stephanie! Your tuplip photo is beautiful! The deer around our property like to nibble ours so we rarely get to enjoy them which can be a big bummer! Wishing you safe travels and a blessed weekend ahead!

    1. Laura, thank you. The deer ate my front flowers over the winter. I've been lucky with the backyard flowers, as they can't reach those. I hope you are able to enjoy a few blooms this spring, and maybe the deer will go elsewhere. Thank you for the kind wishes for our travels. Wishing you a beautiful weekend and a blessed Easter.

Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...
