An Artful Mom — Fountain‑Pen Friendly Composition Notebook

Pam shares a simple little joy — a basic composition notebook that turns out to be surprisingly lovely for fountain‑pen journaling. She gives it a quick, pretty makeover and tests different inks so you know exactly what to expect. It’s such a calm, encouraging read for anyone who loves paper, pens, and those quiet, creative moments.

Lisa invites us into one of her cozy weekend chats, where spring is trying its best to arrive, and their poor cat is still recovering from a skunk incident. Check out her post, which is full of those everyday moments that make life feel connected.

Cathy and Soko walk through all the little steps they took to prepare for their very first RV adventure — from choosing the right camper to practicing setups and easing into the rhythm of road‑life. It’s helpful, encouraging, and perfect for anyone dreaming about traveling a bit more freely.

Pat takes us along on a peaceful visit to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. With wide prairie views, bison, prairie dogs, and a bit of history woven in, her post feels like a gentle nature walk. It’s a lovely escape into open skies and quiet landscapes.

  1. My in-laws have been RV campers for decades, but I've never been around as they prepped. I know it's a lot of work! Thanks for featuring Cathy and Soko's post about it.

  11. RVing is fun, but yes lots of work. We were NPS volunteers for 3 years, and traveling to the next park was always the hardest part. We stopped for overnight and my full kitchen set up was about an hour. Not cooking was never an option, often we were in the middle of no where for the night. Morning break down went faster, thankfully! Thanks for hosting, have a wonderful week ahead.

Easy DIY Springtime Wooden Beehive Decoration

Hey! Let's create a cute and simple Springtime beehive wooden plaque decoration using just a few materials. Easy DIY Springtime Wooden Beehive Decoration Materials One wooden beehive decoration Wooden oval piece Scrap wood or a wooden rectangular section Mod podge-optional Acrylic paint Faux Floral Hot glue Paintbrush Wooden letters Adding paint to the wooden decoration Start by applying your paint to your wooden beehive decoration. I used yellow and black paint for this. After you allow your paint to dry, you can add a layer of Mod Podge over your beehive decoration. I decided to use my Mod Podge that has glitter in it. Adding paint to wooden letters Next, take your black paint and apply it to your wooden letters. I decided to paint the letters black, and I used a smaller paintbrush and added yellow dots to my wooden letters. Adding paint to the oval wood and rectangle wood section After, apply your black paint to your rectangular wood and oval wood sections. Attaching your wood s...

2 Easy Ways to Upcycle Glass Jars into DIY Candle Lanterns

I love taking something I already have around the house and giving it a little new life. These two jars started out plain and simple, but with a bit of gallery glass paint, a few butterfly stickers, and some gems, they turned into the sweetest little candle holders. They’re soft, colorful, and full of that handmade charm — the kind of gift that feels personal and thoughtful without being tied to any specific occasion. I used battery‑operated candles inside each jar, which gives them a warm, cozy glow while keeping things safe and easy. They’re perfect for gifting or adding a gentle touch of light to your own space. Video tutorial coming soon... Sometimes the smallest projects bring the softest kind of joy. In today’s quick video, I’m sharing how I decorated a few glass candle holders using paint, stickers, and little gem accents. It’s an easy, calming DIY that adds a warm glow to any corner of your home. I hope it inspires you to create something simple and beautiful for your own spac...

Easy Faux Floral Centerpiece

There’s something so satisfying about taking a simple little Dollar Tree crate — especially one that’s already lived a previous craft life — and turning it into something elegant and fresh. This easy faux floral centerpiece came together in just a few minutes, and it’s the perfect project if you want a pretty pop of color without spending much at all. Quick video tutorial coming soon Materials I Used One Dollar Tree wooden crate (mine was already painted black from an older craft) Twine Faux florals in light and dark pinks One foam block (pre‑cut or trimmed to fit) One artificial topiary bunny (optional, but adorable) Adhesive of your choice Floral cutters How to Make It Step 1: Wrap the Twine Start by wrapping twine around the top section of your crate. I like to keep it simple — just a few neat wraps to add a little rustic texture against the black paint. Tie it off in the back or secure the ends with a dab of adhesive so everything stays in place. Step 2: Add the Foam and Florals Pl...
