The place we call HOME.

Since moving to Colorado, (from Arizona) some time back, I've fallen in love with this place I call home.
It's beautiful, the people here seem so down to earth, and I'm in love with being out in nature. They have so many trails, and nature centers. We love taking our daughter to the park, museum, children events, and more!
 Our beautiful  daughter was born here on the military post back in 2011. Colorado is where we bought our now 6 year old pug, who we love dearly. We have attended wine festivals, local farmers market, and  have experienced the lovely sounds of the symphony. (I absolutely love their Christmas performances)
Lately I've been praying that all of us experiencing this heat could see some rain very soon. This heat hasn't helped with the fires, and I know all of us here are praying that we can get some moisture soon. Last year everyone came together when we had the Waldo fire, and now we as a community are coming together  once again. In the midst of all of these unfortunate events, I have been enjoying time with my family.
 We have been enjoying my husband's last week of being on leave. It's nice having him home and enjoying more of his company during the day. We have been taking family walks, attending summer programs at our local library, and just being together as a family. It has been so nice. So how's your summer going so far? We also spotted a few horses who were also enjoying an evening out.
 


We took a trip down to  Denver Children's museum, what an exciting trip for our daughter.
It was filled with exploring, learning, and her favorite,bubbles! :)
 
 
One of the summer library events-Rumpus world Circus.
They did some juggling, dancing, and a whole lot of silliness for the kids!

    Your pictures are great. We lived in Florida for 18 years but for the last 7 we've called Michigan home.

    Colorado sounds wonderful but I do home you get relief from the heat. Thanks for taking me along with you to see the horses, the clowns and the beauty around you.

    I didn't know our kids were about the same age! But your little one is for sure doing much more than my little man is. I think girls just do things so much faster. We are just finally coloring with crayons. :P I'm happy to say that we have called AZ home for amost 6 years now and we are getting ready to find a new home somewhere else I'm excited to see where we go. I bet CO is just a stunning place to live and raise your sweet little girl!!

    Dina, your little man will certainly enjoy arts and crafts soon! I started so early with our daughter, that even when she didn't participate, she would watch. :) How exciting that you will be on a new adventure to some place new. Easy Floral Decoupage Idea for Faux Pumpkin Display

 Hi everyone! I'm excited to share a simple and easy floral pumpkin design you can create quickly. Today, we will make a faux floral pumpkin display using decoupage and a few additional designs. I'm reusing a foam pumpkin that I bought at Dollar Tree. If you’re ready, let’s begin creating an easy floral decoupage faux pumpkin display! Quick video tutorial **Materials needed:** - Acrylic paint - Paintbrush - Floral napkin - Faux pearls - Faux flowers - Craft knife - Scissors - Mod Podge Carefully remove the top of your pumpkin. I used my craft knife to go around the top section, creating a hole at the top. Using a paintbrush, apply acrylic paint to the pumpkin. I chose to paint mine black. Next, use scissors to cut out a few flowers from your napkin. Make sure to remove the second layer of the napkin before cutting out the designs.   Once you have your floral designs cut out, use a paintbrush to apply Mod Podge to the pumpkin.
