We made a peppermint ice cream cake-perfect for this time of year. I've been burning my sweet sugar cookie candle. I'm sure my husband is tired of asking me if I'm baking when he enters our home. I swear this candle smells amazing. I enjoyed the mornings spent with our little one. We've been reading through a collection of illustrated poems for children. She enjoys the illustrations, just as much as I do.
We spend our time working on activities; activities that involve learning colors, shapes, and counting. I try to make it as fun as possible. While in the kitchen, our daughter enjoys washing her play plates and cups. Splashing, and making bubbles-it's always such a fun time.
I'm really enjoying the evening when our Christmas lights are turned on, and we sit around and our daughter sings for us. It's always a wonderful show. She sings, dances, and makes sure daddy and I are watching the entire show. -Moments like this I'll cherish for as long as I live.
It has been a wonderful week, and I hope the same for all of you.

Good for you! To be able to put the craziness aside to just have fun is sometimes hard to do. Sounds like a wonderful week. I love the chair poem :)

ReplyDeleteDina, thank you. I really appreciate you, and our friendship. It's amazing how blogging can bring you closer to people you have never met. Now we are blogging buddies, and Facebook friends-I love it. And yes we had a relaxing and calm weekend. I hope the same goes for you and your sweet baby boy.
DeleteHeehee, I enjoyed the chair poem. It reminded me of college philosophy class and dealing with the "chair problem." What is a chair? How do you know it exists? If I sat on the table does that make it a "chair?"
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wanted to scream, "just sit in it!" Random thought for the day...
My husband and I don't have kids yet, but that all sounds lovely. =) Have a good week!
