Home. Lately

At home, we're all enjoying this beautiful holiday season.
I've been enjoying some time in the kitchen baking a few goodies. I normally have our kitchen radio on while I prepare meals. Sometimes I  take this time to reflect on a few things. - Happy thoughts.
I recently purchased an oil to use in my warmer. - A mixture of nutmeg, orange, and cinnamon fills the air. - It's a very calm and refreshing scent.

I enjoy this time at home. We recently finished our Christmas shopping and oh my! - I'm really considering doing most of my Christmas shopping online next year. Stores were packed and people are just so rude this time of year.

Our oldest daughter has enjoyed her time playing tea time and putting together most of her puzzles.
She's also been enjoying her time with her baby sister. I catch her giving her sister gentle kisses and holding her hand while she sings her a sweet song. - I absolutely love these moments.

In the evening we turn on our Christmas lights and gather around our tree. -This is a time that we sit and read a few Christmas stories. Do you have any favorite Christmas stories you and your family read together?  We recently read, One Night in Bethlehem and Llama Llama holiday drama.

The weather has been shifting. This week it has been a bit warmer out. - I'm thankful. I hear we're going to get a winter storm pass-through sometime soon. So I'll enjoy this warmer weather while I can.

How are you spending your time this holiday season?

Hello and welcome new readers!

  1. I've been hoping for snow. A snowstorm just makes it feel more like Christmas time. I think one of my most treasured motherhood moments of my daughters' young lives will be the watching the love between them grow. They're 5 and 3 now and it still amazes me the love and adoration they have for one another. Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season.

  2. Online shopping is my preferred way to shop. People are rude, and so often stores don't have the wide selection that they do online.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...
