  3. Many people wish to be happy and they bend over backwards trying to fabricate happiness, but they do not realize that happiness is so simple. And I love this list of yours. Happiness--the one that's lasting and real--comes from within.

  9. I've been journaling every day for the past week, and it makes a huge difference! I love it. I'm going to check and see if our local art museum is open these days, since the plague. I know the library isn't, unfortunately. The one I really want to do is the how-to class. That's the perfect suggestion for me, and something I'll be looking for later this afternoon. This is a list that I am going to save and revisit for continued ideas and inspiration.

  10. You've got some great suggestions here. I actually found an online painting class on YouTube that's Halloween themed and let my husband know that we're going to plan our own 'paint night' here at home for date night. It's a relatively cheap option. Most of the supplies can be purchased at the dollar store. The biggest cost is the wine to enjoy while we're painting! Lol

  11. I am up for the challenge! These are great tips, sometimes the smallest things make all the difference. I find journalling, mediation and a daily read to be the most helpful for me. But sometimes you just need to try something different - I will definitely try some of these on your list. Thanks for posting.

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...
