DIY Floral Love Truck. A simple Upcycled Craft

Hello everyone! Happy February. I am so happy to begin a new month this year. How have you been? I hope you are all doing great. Today I am sharing another upcycled craft with you. I will be taking my Dollar Tree truck crate design and decorating it using a few materials. We will change the railing color, and add some twine and additional decorations.

Materials such as mini garland, paint, and twine on a table

Materials

If you are creating this craft for the first time, you will need one truck plaque and a wooden crate box
I purchased these two items at my local Dollar Tree. If you are upcycling this craft from a previous craft as I am, you are good to go.
Acrylic paint
Flower sticker
Felt hearts
Vine garland
Twine
Hot glue
Paintbrush
Faux flowers
One foam block

Applying paint to the truck railing

Start by applying paint to the truck railing. I had painted the railing black and decided with this new design that I would go with pink.

Removing the old sticker and adding the new design

Next, if your truck has a sticker from the previous design, remove it. For the new design, I wanted to add a flower sticker in place of the old sticker.

Cutting and attaching the twine

After, take your scissors and cut a section of twine. Use hot glue to attach the twine from one end of the railing to the other.

Adding felt hearts

Next, take your felt hearts and add them to your twine using hot glue.

Cutting and attaching your vine garland

Take your floral cutters and cut a section of your vine garland.  Take your vine and begin to wrap it around the top area of your railing.

I decided to add a thin layer of white acrylic paint to the wooden crate that my truck is attached to.
All that is left is to place your faux flowers into the wooden crate. I also used a foam block to insert my flowers into. I found it helpful when keeping my flowers in place.

Completed white truck design with faux floral, twine and red felt hearts

Your truck is now complete. If you would like to see how it was previously designed be sure to check it out here, DIY Wood Crate Floral Design.  This was such an easy upcycle craft and I love that it can be displayed with either Valentine's decor or even during Spring. Thank you for stopping by and creating this craft with me.

Easy Floral Decoupage Idea for Faux Pumpkin Display

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share a simple and easy floral pumpkin design you can create quickly. Today, we will make a faux floral pumpkin display using decoupage and a few additional designs. I'm reusing a foam pumpkin that I bought at Dollar Tree. If you’re ready, let’s begin creating an easy floral decoupage faux pumpkin display! Quick video tutorial **Materials needed:** - Acrylic paint - Paintbrush - Floral napkin - Faux pearls - Faux flowers - Craft knife - Scissors - Mod Podge Carefully remove the top of your pumpkin. I used my craft knife to go around the top section, creating a hole at the top. Using a paintbrush, apply acrylic paint to the pumpkin. I chose to paint mine black. Next, use scissors to cut out a few flowers from your napkin. Make sure to remove the second layer of the napkin before cutting out the designs.   Once you have your floral designs cut out, use a paintbrush to apply Mod Podge to the pumpkin. While the Mod Podge is wet, add the floral napkin c...

In the second photo, we had another visitor at the feeder, and the sunlight shining through the window that evening was absolutely beautiful. I'd say this week was a nice one.
