DIY Quick Artwork Using Dollar Tree Rub-On-Transfer

 Hello everyone!
How are you doing?  I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to share a quick project with you. Today we're taking one rub on transfer and we're going to create artwork.
I found this beautiful succulent/plant transfer at my local Dollar Tree. I was pleasantly surprised at their selection.

DIY Quick Artwork Using Dollar Tree Rub-On-Transfer

Materials

One Wooden Board
The size of the board I am using is 15''x10''
Rub-on transfer

Acrylic paint
Paintbrush
You can use a rub-on tool or a pencil to gently transfer your art

Adding the art to the wooden board

Rub on transfer on wooden board

Start by taking your transfer paper and adding it to your wooden board. I decided to use an eraser to rub on my art. Honestly, it is much easier to use a rub-on transfer tool when adding it to your wooden surface.

Adding Acrylic paint to transferred art

After adding your art transfer to your surface, you can begin to add your acrylic paint.  I wouldn't worry too much if your stencil doesn't go on completely, and if there are areas that did not fill in completely. Once the paint is added it will cover most of the areas that may have not completely adhered to the wood surface.

Add your favorite colors to your design. I decided to add a few darker pinks, light yellows, dark greens, and lighter greens as well. When adding on a lighter paint color, I just used a little water to thin out the paint.
I decided to add paint to the frame of my wooden board to finish it off.

Your art display is complete. I love that I was able to create a colorful art piece using one rub-on transfer from Dollar Tree. The next time you're at your local Dollar Tree, check out the rub on transfers they have added.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will see you soon.
