Hello everyone! I hope all is well. If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope it was lovely. How was your week?
 Our week was busy. 
We had doctor appointments, finals at school, and my husband has been working on a backyard project.

 I've included a collage of our week. 

My youngest used my phone camera to take pictures of our blooming clematis vines—one is purple, and the other is deep pink. 

My husband received a guitar from his boss at work. He now has this one along with his bass guitar. 

I've only seen one hummingbird at our feeders. They're so quick; there may be more.

 I've been enjoying my time out on the back covered porch. I added a few new outdoor curtains to the space.

 My youngest and my husband made me homemade apple bread on Mother's Day; it was delicious. This week, we enjoyed a nice breakfast out after returning from an appointment at the hospital.

I do need to get our hummingbird feeders out--one little guy flew by yesterday and was disappointed. It has been so cold her in N. Nevada, I didn't think the birds had arrived yet. While I'm at it, how's the weather where you are? Our temperatures are starting to cool off; tomorrow, they say our high will be in the 60s.  We're still seeing a few hummingbirds at the feeder, and I recently made a ladybug house so that if any want a place to stay when the weather gets colder, they can move right in. I've never had one myself, but I did some research before building it. It's essentially a bug hotel. They have the cutest bee hotel at our local nature center, too. A vase for every space:A quick diy project

This project was simple and quick to complete.  I love displaying fresh flowers in our home, so I figured what a great way to display them.  You will just need a few materials.  I promise you will love the way it all comes together in the end. I honestly could not decide on which room to put them on display. I ended up putting them in the master bedroom.  Materials  Two Vases, any size will do. Lace ribbon Burlap tape Glue or double-sided tape Fresh flowers Start by adding your burlap tape to your vase I chose burlap tape because it was quick and simple to attach to the vase. Apply it around your vase. I did two sections of burlap tape on the bottom portion and the top section of the vase. Applying your lace around your vase  Now working with the lace material, I used some craft glue and applied it  to the lace, and slowly wrapped it around the vase.
