  5. I thought the same thing--I don't mind a snow day with 8 inches (at least that's what we got) with a 72* degree day the next day. :) And we DO need the moisture, you're right. Thank you for hosting. Love the features, too. I've shared #15 and #16 this time and am off now to leave the gift of blog comments. ;) Happy weekend!

    1. Yes, it was nice to have some moisture, but the weather has been off lately. This week is a hot one. Thank you for joining the party this week. Always happy to have you join us. Take care, and I hope that you had a lovely Mother's Day. 🤗

  6. Yes, the weather seems to be a bit crazy on this side of the planet too! With a freezing cold blast from the Antarctic this past week, it's even snowing in four southern states here which is unheard of here in Australia. We normally only get snow on our tallest mountain peak, Mt Kosciuszko in Winter.

I'm sitting at #17-19 this week. I hope you have a lovely Mother's Day Stephanie.
    Blessings, Jennifer

  8. Stephanie, thanks for hosting, wishing you a wonderful week ahead. We are in our rainy period here in East Tx, with more expected today. So far no flood warnings in the low laying areas, but I don't think anyone is in a position of not needing water in the reservoirs and lakes. Take caare!

    1. Melynda, I am glad to hear that there are no flood warnings in your area. I would love a rainy season here, but of course without the flooding and the hail that sometimes come along with it. Thank you for joining the party. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

  9. I can't believe that you got snow in May, Stephanie? Is that the norm? Thanks so much for another great party! I hope you've had a great weekend/Mother's Day and I wish you a wonderful week ahead, too!

    1. Laura, yes, when my husband and I moved here to Colorado, we had a blizzard in June. We were in total shock, which I am sure was not the norm. We've been here for some time now, and we usually wait until after Mother's Day to say we are in the clear with snow and freezing temps. But the weather has been a bit off lately. I hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day. As always, thank you for joining the party. We appreciate you.

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...
