This week: -The sun was shining. It was beautiful out. I think this may be the last week that I am able to enjoy my valentine's flowers. I've been giving them as much sunlight as possible.  -This week we worked on lessons with our oldest daughter. She's currently counting to one hundred and writing her own name. She's been writing her name for some time now. But what amazes us now is that she does it without us helping her. -I swear I tell her to slow down and stop growing. Our littlest one is now 5 months. She's rolling all over the place! -We took a trip to our local library. We checked out a few books and attended a few events. We're currently listening to the audiobook-  Caps for sale.   -I purchased a new nail color a week or so ago. When I have some time to myself; soaking my feet and painting my nails is something I enjoy doing.  - I took a week off from working out. Truthfully, my motivation and all my willingness had gone away. I...

Just when we were enjoying some warmer weather... It decided to snow. And I must admit... It was beautiful out. We headed out to one of our favorite parks and  enjoyed a little time playing in the snow. Just us, some snow, and a sweet snowy adventure outdoors. - It truly was a beautiful day. **Hello and welcome new readers! So happy to have you here.  Fresh air, cool breeze, and smiling faces. This past weekend the weather was absolutely beautiful. We took a little family trip to the park. The sky was clear, the sun was out and our daughter enjoyed her time skating. We played at the playground.- Running, jumping, laughing and just enjoying our time together.  We ended our time at the park with a long family walk. - I'm looking forward to warmer days!

“New day, new hopes, new life!!”  ―  Lailah Gifty Akita Our home is filled with so much love.-Sweet baby kisses, giggles, hugs and moments I just realize how much I truly love my family.  We put up a love banner and a few Valentine's window clings. - I sure can feel the love. :) Discovery bottles: Glitter, letter beads, buttons, starfish shapes, fish shapes, and shells!  We absolutely love our discovery bottles. When I first made these fun bottles our oldest daughter was a wee one. This week we decided to make a few more. I'm sure her little sister will enjoy them as much as she does. :) Our learning board. It includes the month, day, season, and weather. We start our morning using this board. I actually put this board together some time back.  We've been working on using scissors more. Brown rice with vegetables and marinated pork chops In our home, we really enjoy cooking together. When we're all in the kitchen we seem to always have a good time. Whether it's a quick snack, a sweet treat, or a dinner we're preparing. We always enjoy preparing these as a family.  Brown Rice with Vegetables: Diced-Carrots, red onion, cilantro, broccoli, red/green bell pepper, and garlic. Seasoned with: Chili powder, cumin, ground pepper, salt, a dash of cinnamon, and garlic powder. Stir together with brown rice. We normally cook our brown rice in the oven for about an hour. Pork chops: marinated in Worcestershire sauce,  Italian dressing, whole peppercorn, and soy sauce. Cooked with peppers and onions. I also prepared a quick and easy cucumber salad. -cucumbers, sprinkle with garlic salt seasoning, and pepper and toss in Italian dressing. All done!  Do you enjoy cooking together as a family? We enjoy our time out. Playing in the snow and creating ice igloos and sweet baby snow angels. The snow falls. It's all so beautiful. We enjoy these moments.  Parks are covered with icy slides and cold swings. Our oldest daughter enjoys her time at the park. She runs, jumps, and climbs. While she plays with Dad, I carry little one around in her carrier. I take as many photos as I possibly can. I think there is just something about winter that is so beautiful.  At home, thicker blankets are out. Snowsuits, wet jackets, and snow boots stay out ...

They seem to enjoy this time listening to a story. -Enjoying more sunny days. When we get sunny days, we really do appreciate them! -Watching my girls interact with each other. -I absolutely love these moments. Our little one is giggling now and her big sister can't resist giving her sweet kisses all over. -I can't help but smile! - I'm running more and staying on track with my workouts. - Trust me it's challenging finding the time and motivation sometimes. I must say I'm pretty darn proud of myself that I've been able to keep it up for a few months now.- Brings...
