Exploring and creating art. Using items around the house

Exploring/creating art-using items around the house.
This was so much fun, and very hands-on. My daughter really enjoyed the different textures and shapes.

Materials we used:
-Plastic fork
 -Paper towel roll
 -Flowers
 -Clothespins/with pom poms
-Plastic bottle top
-Straws
-Craft stick

Explore and create art using different designs with each material.

During our art time, I went over how each item created a different design.

Be creative and use your imagination!

  1. Great ideas. I particularly like the clothespins with the pompoms in them, that makes it easier for her to hold them and keeps her hands out of the paint too.

  2. The entire process sounds fun - from gathering supplies to painting and discovering the designs you can create from these findings. So creative. I also think the cotton ball clothespins are brilliant!

    1. Dina, awe thank you! I bought the paint from Joann's craft store, it's just a non-toxic kid friendly paint. (They have tons there) Nothing special though. :)
