Weekend love {❤}

Baked apple cinnamon chips, sweet kisses, and cool gentle breezes-Oh how I love weekends.
This weekend I made some delicious baked apple cinnamon chips. And may I add, our home smelled absolutely lovely! We enjoyed this sweet healthy snack as the autumn  sun set.
(Recipe below)

Lately I've been doing a lot of baking. I've been flipping through a few cook books, hoping to find a recipe that stands out. We have used our cook books quit a bit in the past. This weekend I made us a delicious dish,-Grilled kielbasa with pesto sauce and noodle.

This weekend, the weather was beautiful. The temp stayed in the mid 60's, with a light cool breeze. I've started gathering gloves, sweaters, and even winter hats-just to have them ready for when the cold weather decides to stick around. I've started preparing our home for winter weather. Tucking away summer blankets, and  replacing them with warmer ones. I took some time to clean out closets this weekend, rearranging a few things, and dusting along the way.

Besides baking, and rearranging around here, we also enjoyed some bonding time. We relaxed while watching Wallace and Gromit.  I laughed quit a bit, and so did our little one. Lately our daughter has enjoyed writing  letters, and sending them off in her mailbox. This weekend I helped her write a quick letter to daddy. I asked her what she wanted it to say, and she responded with, "Today I went potty". (Of course I laughed a little) I thought it was so cute! So we wrote her letter, and placed it in her mailbox for daddy to read.  She sure does brighten our day. I'm sad to see the weekend come to a close, but I'm happy to say it was definitely a lovely, and productive weekend spent with my loves ones.  How did you spend your weekend ? I hope you were also able to enjoy this nice cool Autumn weather. :)

Hello to all my blog friends, and welcome new ones! So happy to have you here.

Mornings normally feel so hectic. At times I feel like I'm rushing to get things done.
This morning was peaceful, quit relaxing. Yesterday evening I made us some delicious pumpkin scones. I was thrilled to find a new recipe. This morning when every thing was calm, my daughter and I enjoyed our scones.
I was at peace, sitting there giggling and watching my daughter enjoy her sweet pumpkin scones. We had the singer-songwriter station playing in the background. I took this opportunity to catch up on writing in her journal. If you're wondering, I started a journal for my daughter once we brought her home from the hospital back in 2011. It's filled with memories, stories, inspiring messages, and more! Just something she can look back on later on when she's older.
Even though mornings seem so hectic at times, mornings like this make me realize just how thankful I am to spend it with my love ones. What a beautiful morning.

Simple fall craft. {Bringing nature indoors}

-During our weekend adventure, we gathered a few leaves, and even found a descent branch.
Once home, we painted each leaf.
Gold &bronze
Using  a hole puncher so that we could put some twine through each leaf.
Just hang each leaf on a branch, and you're done!

Weekend Love {The beauty of change} My thoughts

"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree"-Emily Bronte

The weekend arrived, and I was thrilled to adventure out into nature. So much beauty around, the scenery was breathtaking, and there was a cool breeze in the air. When we first moved out here to Colorado, I remember I cried. If you were to ask me why, I'm sure I would tell you because I had called Arizona my home for so long. I was just sad to say goodbye. We relocated due to the Army. Once we arrived here, I can honestly say I fell in love. It's been a few years now, and I absolutely love it here. I now call this beautiful place my home.

We took a short adventure out in nature where we enjoyed some fresh air, took family pictures, and let our daughter climb, run, and explore. It was nice watching her enjoy being outdoors. Fall makes me so happy. Leaves changing in color, and falling from trees, it's all so beautiful. We sat by a small creek and enjoyed the calming sounds of the water. I had time to really think, and put so many things into perspective.

My first thought was, how thankful I was to be able to see yet another day. I stared at my husband, and our daughter, and I just felt so much love and happiness. They give me purpose, and make life worth living for.
My second thought, why did I ever cry about moving to such a beautiful place?  It's just so beautiful! My husband eventually departed with the Army,(which I'm sure for him it was sad saying goodbye after being in for so long). We wanted to start a family, so it was time for a new career. We eventually purchased our first home, and a few months after my husband's last deployment we found out we were pregnant with our little sunshine. We were so thrilled, and filled with so much love. For this child, we truly prayed for.

And my last thought while out,  I really need to experience life more. I need to enjoy, laugh a little harder, hug longer, you know just live!  I've always been that person, but lately I've let little things take over so much of my time, when I shouldn't . So I've decided I'm going to enjoy every second of this beautiful life. I hope you do the same. :)
Thank you for coming along on this journey with me. I hope you enjoy your stay~

Our week.{Living in the now}

Last week I was so worried with all that has been going on in the news, that I did not allow myself to enjoy my days to the fullest. Once I was reminded by my husband to just let go, I felt as though a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I'm constantly reminding myself the importance of letting go, and letting things just be. So this week, I took the time to appreciate the simple things in life. We baked, danced, and just enjoyed the simple things in life.
 This morning we welcomed a few snow flurries. I made us some cinnamon swirl pancakes. They were delicious, and I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee. Shortly after we bundled up, and headed out to the library.
This week we did some exploring. We took a trip down to the park, and explored the beautiful scenery. My daughter absolutely loves park days. Sliding, swinging, and saying hello to the friendly geese. We always have a lovely time at the park.  How was your week spent? Did you enjoy the simple things life has to offer?  I hope you did! :)
I want to take some time, and thank all of my lovely readers, and welcome all new readers. Thank you all for coming along on this journey. I appreciate all of you!

Weekend love{Thankful}

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.
Denis Waitley
The weekend arrived and it was time to push my worries, and doubts aside. It's been a long two weeks with everything that has been going on with the shutdown, on top of many other things. This weekend I just let go, and reminded myself just how thankful I am for my loves.

This weekend the air was cool, with a slight breeze. The streets are covered in autumn leaves, and the sun attempted to make an appearance through the clouds. We spent most of our time indoors. My husband made some delicious caramel popcorn, which was amazing. We recently purchased a popcorn maker since we had a popcorn recipe book sitting around collecting dust. It's been nice experimenting with the different recipes.

We also cooked up a delicious dinner, we had lasagna stuffed shells. I'm not sure if it's the weather, but we have been spending a lot of time on new recipes. :)   I of course did not get around to making my cookies and cream fudge until today. That was actually on my to do list for the weekend.

Tea time, is a favorite time  for out little one. She loves to set up her dolls, and serve up delicious play pastries. We're always up for joining in, and she makes sure we all have a tea cup along with a saucer. (I'm sure when she's older and no longer shows interest in tea parties, I will miss it.)

Over the weekend I was just so thankful to spend it with my family, and enjoy the simple things in life. We cooked, relaxed, and just enjoyed our time together. How did you spend your weekend? I'd love to hear about it! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend spent with your love ones. Until next time, thank you for stopping by and reading! (New followers, and Google+ friends, welcome! I'm so happy to have you here.)
