Weekend love.-Capturing moments

Pretty lights, baked goodies, and family time-I could cherish these moments for a very long time. 


I enjoyed evenings spent by our Christmas tree. -It just feels so cozy.



One of my favorite ornaments hangs in the very front of our tree. It's very special to me and represents the love, and bond I have with my daughter. God truly has blessed us.


While deployed to the Middle East- my husband picked up this hand-painted vase. It's traveled around a bit. It's now displayed on a shelf in our living room. 





Our daughter hosted a pastry party. There were plenty of goodies and cakes with delicious whipped toppings. My favorite was the strawberry cake she prepared. 



Our nights included- Art and family play dough creations. 








Our time was spent in the kitchen preparing simple dishes and baking sweet goodies. 
We enjoyed a pesto chicken sandwich, along with a simple cucumber salad. 



Baking was kept simple. I made a quick batch of caramel apple cookies.

    Thankful for my military family that has invited the monster and I over for Christmas dinner. We had a rough weekend we have both been so sick!

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin.
