Warm Sunny days.

“Every summer there are a number of nights, not many, but a number when everything is perfect. The light, the warmth, the smells, the mist, the birdsong – the moths. Who can sleep? Who wants to?”

Summer happenings

Time in my garden.-I've had so many visitors in my garden these past few days. The rain has brought moisture and new life. Bumblebees, baby birds, butterflies, caterpillars and hummingbirds.-They all stop by for a brief hello and go on their way.

Arranging flowers. - My daughter has been making her very own flower arrangements from the garden. We snip a few flowers together. She's always prepared, wearing her tiny little garden gloves. Soon after, she arranges her flowers.-Just the way she wants them. It's beautiful and I'm glad she enjoys her arrangement.

The weather is warm. - We still have days that the rain comes to visit. On warm days, I brew tea and place it on the kitchen window. Normally I place it out back on the porch. -The weather is perfect for it!

Bubbles. - We can't get enough of bubbles. We've been sitting out back in the evenings blowing bubbles with our daughter. We really enjoy this time with her.

Grilling and Baking. - We have been grilling out back most of this summer. Preparing different dishes. Lately, I've really enjoyed our grilled bacon-wrapped asparagus. It's so delicious. Our daughter thought for a while that she was eating green beans. - She soon found out what it really was and she loved it! I haven't baked much lately. But recently I made a simple cake with sprinkles on top. It's an evening dessert that we seem to enjoy. :)

Pregnancy- Recently at my doctor's, visit -the baby's head is now facing down. I'm experiencing a lot more pressure than I did with my daughter. I'm Currently 34 weeks and just recently had our first appointment with our doula. She was able to provide some valuable information. I've been working on a few different breathing techniques and stretches. I recently finished reading Doulas, written by Susan Ross. If you're ever considering having a doula during labor and delivery, definitely a good read.

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer. A warm hello and welcome to my new readers. I appreciate all of my readers for coming along and sharing my blogging journey with me. :)

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...

Decoupage Bookmarks using Metal Tags

Create beautiful decoupage bookmarks using metal tags from Dollar Tree. This easy DIY project is perfect for all skill levels and adds a personal touch to your reading materials. Hello everyone! Today, I have an easy and quick craft idea to share with you that book lovers will surely appreciate. My daughters love reading books on their Kindles, but we still take regular trips to the library to check out physical copies of books they are interested in.  However, I wanted to try something new this time, so I went to the Dollar Tree store and found a pack of metal tags. Yes, you read that right - these bookmarks are made of metal, but don't worry, we can add some decorative details to make them more attractive.  Materials Metal tags (I purchased them at Dollar Tree) Acrylic paint Mod Podge Decorative napkins Paintbrush Twine Beads Inspirational stickers Scissors Applying paint to metal tags Begin by applying two coats of acrylic paint to both sides of each metal tag. Use a heatin...
