Here we are.

Cheers to the New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year.
So much has been going on. We're actually quite busy around here these days. Our little one will be 4 months this month and she's been doing some exploring. -I enjoy early mornings with her. We read and explore around the house and I just can't get enough of her sweet cooing sounds. -She's also blowing bubbles with her cute little lips.
Our oldest has been exploring science projects. And working on a few reading lessons. I'm trying to get on a set schedule with her. -We're getting there!
It's actually quite peaceful around here. After the holidays and dealing with crowds and what not, I'm actually enjoying this peaceful time. I didn't make any New Year’s resolutions. - Honestly, I would love to just participate in a fun run and go on a few new adventures. My husband and I started back up with our fitness schedule a few months after having our little one last year. - I've been running again and going on my morning walks. - Truthfully I feel so refreshed after a nice workout.  Do you enjoy working out? If so are you more of a morning workout kind of person or do you enjoy evening workouts?
Our days are long, yet very enjoyable. I've always enjoyed my time in the kitchen. I've been experimenting with different ways to prepare brown rice. -Diced peppers, onions, garlic, and a few seasonings, and I promise it's so delicious!  I've also been working on homemade snacks. Apple chips, banana oat cookies, and one of my favorites are actually, carrots drizzled in olive oil with a few spices and placed in the oven. It's a perfect snack. It's light and also goes well as a side with dinner.
I'm so thrilled about the New Year! So here we are, new adventures, Memories in the making and just working on being a better me. -Wife, mother, daughter, friend, blogger and so much more. Thank you all for coming along on my blogging journey.

  3. I love to work out...but not when I'm sick even though I should be at the gym when I am sick. But with this move...I haven't been in a month.

I plan to get outside more and maybe pick running back up but I'm leaning towards biking cause I don't want another running stroller and I feel that biking will be more fun and the little man will be safe in the back on his trailer and we all can go out as a family. I'm sure once we get settled we'll decide what we want to do.

    What is the celery experiment?

I'm planning on eating 100% clean this year. No more processed foods and try to make as many things at home as possible. I want to lose weight and be healthy.

    1. I hear you Dina! I haven't been going outside to run. Since it's been cold, I've actually been running on my treadmill. Doing interval runs with inclines. -And every other day. Some days I'm finding that I really need that extra push! How do you feel about hiking? I love it and it's such a great way to explore! We do that as a family. And biking is a great way too! So I totally hear you on that.

The celery experiment, you pretty much add in drops of food coloring and then add in celery. Asking questions like, "what do you think will happen to the celery"..etc. The color slowly makes it's way up the celery. It's the same experiment I did with the Carnations.

And yay for you on preparing more foods at home! I'm noticing it's so much better that way. I absolutely agree with you. I want for us to live a more healthy lifestyle. I just feel so good after preparing something healthy here at home.

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...

Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

This party provides a platform for sharing inspiring content such as recipes, family-friendly blog posts, crafts, home decor, and other uplifting  ideas. Hello everyone! I hope all is well. If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope it was lovely. How was your week?  Our week was busy.  We had doctor appointments, finals at school, and my husband has been working on a backyard project.  I've included a collage of our week.  My youngest used my phone camera to take pictures of our blooming clematis vines—one is purple, and the other is deep pink.  My husband received a guitar from his boss at work. He now has this one along with his bass guitar.  I've only seen one hummingbird at our feeders. They're so quick; there may be more.  I've been enjoying my time out on the back covered porch. I added a few new outdoor curtains to the space.  My youngest and my husband made me homemade apple bread on...
