Thank you for sharing the photo of our 42nd anniversary dinner! Yes, it's been a roller-coaster adventure and we're definitely not the same people we were in 1984. I've dragged my husband so far out of his comfort zone that he forgot he had one! (Mr. "stay-at-home" has been shamed into para-sailing several times, camel riding and zip-lining {among other things} just by watching me do stuff and then giving in and doing it himself!) ~ not to mention me saying "why don't we move to Texas?" {20 years ago ~ we were doing cruises & taking layovers in Dallas from So.Cal, since our daughter was living here b/c she graduated SMU. So just picked up & moved in our 50s & was one of the best things we ever did!)* Catch y'all again next week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful glimpse into your journey. I loved reading how you’ve both grown, stretched, and said yes to so many unexpected adventures together. Moving states, trying new things, and cheering each other on… It’s all so beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend, and as always, thank you for being a part of the party.

Hi Esme! Thank you for joining us here this week. :) Have a great weekend, and happy summer.
DeleteHi Stephanie. I just have a couple of potted tomato plants on our patio. The temps have been up and down this past month so that may be all we do. Maybe some squash. Lots of rain here in Nevada recently, too, but we sure need it! Thanks for hosting each week--have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your little patio garden is doing just fine with all the weather ups and downs. Tomatoes and maybe a bit of squash feel just right for a year like this. I’m glad you’re getting the rain — even if it comes all at once, it’s such a gift in the desert. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope your weekend is a gentle one. :)
DeleteHappy Friday. Thank you for featuring my doll outfit. I have so much fun dressing and donating the dolls every year.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful to hear! I love that you donate the dolls; it's very thoughtful of you.

DeleteSo wonderful you got rain. We had some unexpected rain here too as we don’t get summer rain here in CA. Potted herbs are wonderful. Happy planting.

Soma, I love that you were able to enjoy some rainy days. With the drought that many are experiencing, it's always such a relief when we have some rainy days. As always, thank you for joining us at the party. Wishing you beautiful days ahead.
DeleteMy husband has started a vegetable garden and we're looking forward to eating our own vegetables. I hope they'll grow well.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so very much for featuring my purple flowers! The way you describe them is exactly how I meant them Thank you Stephanie, I really appreciate you.

DeleteThanks for the party. I planted a full veggie garden and summer annuals. I'm almost done, I still have one potato bed to go.
ReplyDeleteAmy, how exciting! Happy planting. 🤗🌱
DeleteOur weather is just starting to warm up, so our planting is getting underway now. We haven't planted any veggies, yet, just flowers. Last year we planted pumpkins for the first time and it was so much fun. I hope to do it again!
ReplyDeleteHey Kim!
DeleteOh, I love this time of year when the weather finally warms up! Your flowers sound like a beautiful start. 🌸🌼
I’ve actually never grown pumpkins before, but that sounds like so much fun! You absolutely have to do it again this year—there is nothing like turning a little seed into a fall treasure. Happy summer and garden fun! 🌱🤗
