Hi all! I hope you're all well. We've been very fortunate to have a few days of rain. I'm not sure if I'll plant vegetables this year. I may just have some potted herbs on the porch. Did you start your garden? If so, what did you plant? As always, thank you for joining the party. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

  1. Thank you for sharing the photo of our 42nd anniversary dinner! Yes, it's been a roller-coaster adventure and we're definitely not the same people we were in 1984. I've dragged my husband so far out of his comfort zone that he forgot he had one! (Mr. "stay-at-home" has been shamed into para-sailing several times, camel riding and zip-lining {among other things} just by watching me do stuff and then giving in and doing it himself!) ~ not to mention me saying "why don't we move to Texas?" {20 years ago ~ we were doing cruises & taking layovers in Dallas from So.Cal, since our daughter was living here b/c she graduated SMU. So just picked up & moved in our 50s & was one of the best things we ever did!)* Catch y'all again next week!

  3. Hi Stephanie. I just have a couple of potted tomato plants on our patio. The temps have been up and down this past month so that may be all we do. Maybe some squash. Lots of rain here in Nevada recently, too, but we sure need it! Thanks for hosting each week--have a lovely weekend.

    1. It sounds like your little patio garden is doing just fine with all the weather ups and downs. Tomatoes and maybe a bit of squash feel just right for a year like this. I’m glad you’re getting the rain — even if it comes all at once, it’s such a gift in the desert. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope your weekend is a gentle one. :)

  10. Our weather is just starting to warm up, so our planting is getting underway now. We haven't planted any veggies, yet, just flowers. Last year we planted pumpkins for the first time and it was so much fun. I hope to do it again!

I’ve actually never grown pumpkins before, but that sounds like so much fun! You absolutely have to do it again this year—there is nothing like turning a little seed into a fall treasure. Happy summer and garden fun! 🌱🤗

If you love finding new DIY ideas and learning from other bloggers, you’re in the perfect spot! Happy Friday, blogging friends! How was your week? Last week, we celebrated my husband's birthday, and I made an ice cream cake for the occasion. While we were shopping, our youngest daughter found a delicious blend of coffee and cookies and cream ice cream.  It was definitely a hit! Since my husband loves coffee, the combination of coffee flavor with cookies and cream was just perfect. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?   As always, we had wonderful posts shared at last week's party. I took the time to visit every single post, and I always enjoy connecting with all of you. Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...

This party provides a platform for sharing inspiring content such as recipes, family-friendly blog posts, crafts, home decor, and other uplifting  ideas. Hello everyone! I hope all is well. If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope it was lovely. How was your week?  Our week was busy.  We had doctor appointments, finals at school, and my husband has been working on a backyard project.  I've included a collage of our week.  My youngest used my phone camera to take pictures of our blooming clematis vines—one is purple, and the other is deep pink.  My husband received a guitar from his boss at work. He now has this one along with his bass guitar.  I've only seen one hummingbird at our feeders. They're so quick; there may be more.  I've been enjoying my time out on the back covered porch. I added a few new outdoor curtains to the space.  My youngest and my husband made me homemade apple bread on...
